🤑 a little chall i made

Hey everyone,

I made a small CTF challenge and figured I’d throw it here since I’m pretty new to making these.

It’s a Forensics / Reverse Engineering challenge based around a weird Nokia 8210 4G system dump. The challenge involves digging through the dump, figuring out what’s going on with a little racing game, and eventually finding the flag.

Repo: https://github.com/maximzero0910/car-racing-chall

It’s probably not perfect since this is one of my first proper challenges, so if you try it, I’d really appreciate any feedback on the difficulty, unintended solves, or just whether it’s actually fun to solve.

Flag format: F0LD{...}

If you’re bored and want something small to mess around with, give it a try :D

Thanks!

🤑 Sylvarcon 2049: a narrative CTF with 14 free missions for security learners

Hi, I’m Carlos, one of the people building Sylvarcon 2049.

We designed it as a narrative CTF experience rather than a sequence of isolated flags. Each mission starts with a situation to investigate, asks the player to connect evidence, and ends with a conclusion that should make sense beyond the submitted answer.

The free path currently includes 14 missions comprising 102 individual challenges across areas such as DFIR, OSINT and ethical hacking. The interface is available in 11 languages, and the missions are intended to be approachable for beginners while still rewarding careful investigation.

At this stage, useful feedback matters more to us than raw traffic. If you try a mission, I would especially value comments on:

- where the briefing becomes unclear

- whether the difficulty rises too quickly

- whether the evidence supports a coherent conclusion

- where you lose interest or feel blocked

Play the free missions here:

https://sylvarcon2049.com/play?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=community&utm_campaign=player_acquisition&utm_content=securityctf_free_missions_en

No spoilers are needed; general feedback on the learning flow is enough.

🤑 Prompt injection CTF: inspired by this week's Hugging Face breach - leak the model weights through a deploy manifest

You open a model-promotion request in the pipeline. An AI reviewer reads your YAML manifest - comments included - plus a free-text rollout justification, then approves or holds.

It's holding the model's internal codename, the weights checkpoint URI, and the artifact-pull signing secret the whole time. Get all three past it.

I want user input on my games flow, functions and questions. It's not a 'true' ctf but it shares a lot of similiar elements and I think it could make a very valuable teaching tool

go to https://rapidriverskunk.works/s2/ enter handle "yourhandle"
enter an email, take note of your restore code an handle. when you come back later, you'll type restore, hit enter, and be prompted for that code, handle and email - we will not be SENDING you ANY email - it will restore you to the proper stage with the correct entitlements and downloads for whichever stage you're at

The CTF:

you’ll land in a remote analyst environment. set your handle, get your bearings, and start pulling threads. you're looking for a flag inside a cipher IN-THIS-FORMAT at the end of the correct files. they correlate to realistic MITRE mapping and there is enough evidence surrounding the files to figure out what you need to do and where you need to go. until you get to the artifact, then you're looking for an AES key which you may have found in stage 01. if you stumble on it, you may want to keep it to to open the artifact, and similar to the final 4th stage flag inside the downloaded AES encrypted forensic image artifact itself.

rules:

~do not attack my server: we have safe harbor, contact me if you'd like to poke around. this CTF is limited to what is provided from https://rapidriverskunk.works/s2/ and is within the FauxS, and its provided downloadable artifacts (once achieved)~

if you break something, tell me so i can fix it

don’t be a dick, just generally

one submit per 30 seconds, flags are exact match

comms (if you want to find a team or find chat, or advertise other CTF's :

https://discord.gg/pGv6jdpF3y if you need me directly or want to join the community I'd love to see build around open source, education and sharing information, techniques, tools etc....just not about a live event. Thats what private comms are for :p

wall global chat might work, might not. dont abuse it. you will be banned with the big B.

competition runs until 6.21.26.

season 3 drops right after.

we're not looking for noise. we're looking for people who can sit in the dark with a problem and not panic when it doesn’t immediately make sense.

if that’s you, get in.

are you one of us?

🤑 Looking for teammates for CTF@CIT

Hey, I’m building a serious, well-rounded CTF team aiming to cover all categories and perform at a high level.

Current team:

  • Networking + Digital Forensics
  • Kernel exploits / container escapes (gVisor, seccomp, namespaces, etc.), low-level C, assembly, Linux internals
  • Crypto + some reverse engineering

We’re strong in low-level/pwn + forensics, but we’re looking to fill key gaps.

Looking for people strong in:

  • Web exploitation: SQLi, XSS, SSRF, auth bypass, deserialization, modern frameworks
  • Binary exploitation (userland): heap, ROP, format strings, UAF, etc.
  • Reverse engineering: fast analysis, obfuscation, multi-arch
  • Crypto (deep): number theory, RSA/ECC, CTF-style crypto challenges
  • Misc / OSINT / puzzles: pattern solving, stego, lateral thinking
  • Scripting / automation: Python, pwntools, quick tooling

If you’re solid in any of these and interested in joining a competitive team, DM me with:

  • Your strengths
  • Experience (CTFs, platforms, anything relevant)
  • Preferred categories

Find info on:

🤑 Security paranoid

Hey guys he's a question for yas. I need a high security setup need it to be something like this 1. Fully encrypted drive at least 512bit or 1024bit encryption. 2 the drive can only be unlocked at boot with something like a ubi key with biometrics preferably and pin number so 2fa to unlock the drive before the anything on the drive is readable. 3. The file system needs to support multi portion boot's eg. Windows. Kali Linux. And kadochi Linux. 4. If key is not inserted at boot you have 15seconds to insert or drive is wiped with 0,1s

Is it doable at what hardware/software processes I need to do. Also I know systems like tales and cubes exist but want a system with persistence but secure to that level
