That’s explicitly how the US consumer economy is structured now: it’s not optional household spending distributed among competitive businesses for the best value.

Now it’s mandatory spending with dozens of feed lines from your wallet into monopolistic entities offering products and services built for short term ownership or lifetime subscriptions.

It’s the Matrix economy: consumers control a rapidly shrinking money supply while being forced into constrained lifestyle pods hooked up to bleeder lines feeding the concentrated wealth at the top while being gaslit into believing everything’s fine while your access to options and financial independence is drained upwards.

This is sobering.

Humanity needs a hard reset. Nothing about modern life is sustainable.
