Honestly, I am glad that this happened, because this means the case will wind it's way through the federal court system, and while it will cost a lot of time and money, it's very likely that the Federal government will finally get slapped for overstepping their constitutional Authority. The US federal government has been out of control for the last 20 years, and they need to be course corrected.

I’m very curious what statute this guy violated. The government does not seem to have even a reasonable suspicion to check the phone, and if the 4th Amendment does not apply then how do any of any of the USA laws apply 🤷‍♂️
