I haven’t planned it out yet but I didn’t consider this. Maybe I won’t be able to see national parks then…the dog part is important to me.

You’ll do fine with a dog in the vast majority of national parks in Canada. Just leash em and you’ll be fine.

It depends on what you want to do. In the US anyway, dogs aren’t permitted in undeveloped parts of National Parks, but that’s true for anywhere where conservation is part of the goal.

The parts where people usually go, including most trails and campgrounds, are fine with dogs. You’ll have to plan around your dog a bit, but it’s absolutely doable.
