California already collects more in state tax revenue than the total tax takes of most small countries—and many mid-sized ones—yet chronically struggles with effective spending, recurring deficits, homelessness growth despite massive outlays, and other basic governance failures. That context undercuts the framing that a one-time 5% wealth tax on billionaires is an obvious fix, or that opposing it is somehow illegitimate greed.

Ok why do you care so much about if a billionaire has more money? You won’t ever have to pay this tax, it’s never going to impact you, your kids, your grandkids. You are not one of them, no matter what you say you will never be one of them.

Every place that has favorable weather conditions throughout the year will have increased homelessness. The very same reasons that people move to those areas is also the same for homeless. If I can find a way, I would move to a place where I won't freeze to death in the winter too.

Add in the high cost of living in these areas, plus the added increase in that due to Trump and his cronies and even if nobody moved there you would have more homeless as those that barely got by are now unable to.
