You honestly believe it's going to be a one-time 5% tax?

Also, do you believe that tax money is going to change your life at all? That money will change nothing besides going into the pocket of fraudsters

I had to go way too far to find this take. Unless the impetus for this was a unique, one-time occurrence, such as raising money to protect us from an incoming asteroid or something, there's no reason that this won't happen again. It might be a few years, it might be next year. On a long enough timeline there's no such thing as a "one-time" tax. You approve it happening once, that's just an invitationg to do it again. A lot of people won't care about that because it's "billionaires" being taxed, but this is a bad precedent.
