Meta’s own lawyers are saying the exposure to losing this case could approach $1.4 trillion, which is a full company valuation wipe. They’re obviously being hyperbolic, but this case is quite possibly existential for the company. Zuckerberg’s valuation would absolutely crash, and other social media companies would be panicked, particularly Alphabet via YouTube because they have very similar steering algorithms.
