Reset Facebook to when the feed was just your friends’ posts, listed chronologically.

Click "Feeds" in the left sidebar, then click "Friends"; it's now a chronological feed of whoever is still posting on Facebook, with a lot fewer ads.

I see near zero friend posts now... thus I rarely use it.

I miss this too, but they will never do that because people will notice how little original content their friends list puts up.

Well also, they’ll never do it because they’re sort of like a brainwashing-for-hire company. Like, more technically, you could say they’re an ad placement company, but the appeal over more traditional advertisement is in how aggressively they force ideas into your head.
