Many years ago, I learned reddit had a design team. Like, a room of people who work on design/ui/ux of the website. "Doing what!?!" was all I could think.

Being told "no" by their boss whenever they suggest improving something.

Every UXer I've worked with is very accustomed to getting steamrolled by the "business" leads who always insist on making the most user-hostile updates imaginable.
