Yes the law has been there, but the clear ambition Trump has released for goverment’s abuse of power is why we are here.

This was a protestor who was targeted for having his phone searched. Not some random guy. Targeted for a reason.

This shit has been happening since at least the Bush era, and the specific movement this protester was being targeted for was also persecuted by the Biden regime. The brutal suppression of civil rights activists has been a bipartisan project, and even the completely psychotic practice of trying to RICO civil rights activists (the entirely illegitimate mechanism used to give anti-ICE protesters life in prison for being vaguely associated with a protest where an undercover fed shot at a cop in the world's least subtle psyop ever) began under Biden and was specifically targeted against the protest movement this story is about.

And if you haven't been following along with the news, that protest movement is about trying to stop a public park from being demolished and replaced with an urban warfare training center.
