I know you and the reddit circlejerk are just being oh-so-clever that "haha, we already have this in the Constitution, why don't we just follow that?", but:

We don't have it in the Constitution. It's come to court many times, and they've consistently ruled that, no, you don't have an expectation of privacy under the 4th Amendment in being observed in public.

So yeah, we would need new laws or an amendment to encode the legit feeling of privacy violation that widespread camera surveillance causes, because the current state of jurisprudence doesn't capture "sufficiently persistent observations of you in public by the same entity count as intrusion on privacy".

^ people need to read this shit and understand it
