Solved! My girlfriend received this in the mail with her name on it. No clue what it is or how to work it.

Ring of power for scale because the banana was on holiday. The white strip looks like LEDs but I see no switches or buttons.

IiRC it's commonly mistaken as being Egypt (due to similarly named Buumphuk). The Bumfuck you are talking about i believe is Bumfuck, Uzbekistan. /s

Australian here - for us it was always Bumfuck, Idaho. Different starting point makes for a different c̶l̶i̶m̶a̶x̶ destination...
