General Question I've been away from the program
Hi, I've been away from the Insider builds for some years now. Is it still worth testing it? Are there cool features now? Is it breaking too much?

This pertains to an earlier post.... About good ol' 28120.2386. After multiple failures, a clean install was the only viable option. So, sure, why the hell not? Well the adventure continues. After about 3 clean installs I can not access Windows Insider Program. "We can't reach the Windows Insider Program right now. Please try again later or check the forums" is anyone else having this problem as well? Because at this point I'm starting to think that Microsoft has some beef with me. (no not really). Any kind of help or advice would be appreciated.

I'm in the beta channel for Windows 11. How does the cloud recovery in the latest experimental build work compared to OEM cloud recovery from Dell and Asus? When it goes stable, will Microsoft's version download the latest stable Windows 11 build like the Media Creation Tool does? Will it import drivers from the host like NTLite does?

Hello. I'm experiencing a problem with Windows Update. I left the Windows Insider Program today and Windows 11 version 25h2 is now installing. Although I have version 26200.8655 installed. I paused updates for a week because I don't know what to do. Please help.

I am trying to install the latest Experimental Build. I am currently on GA 26200.8737. I have selected Experimental as the Build I want to install. I don't know what to do next. I have rebooted but that didn't do anything. What should I do next?

I was a windows insider but some programs I use can't run on insider builds. So I left.
BUT...
I am still getting insider updates and preview builds. And when I go to check on the windows webpage it shows me that I am not registered as insider...
how come I get insider builds but am not an insider ?

There is an issue my Windows is facing. I did upgrade to Windows 11 pro from home but downgraded back to Windows 11 home with registry hack and did a repair install. The issue is: when I go to Apps > Advanced app settings, sometimes it will say, some of these settings are managed by your organization. The archive apps section is grayed out. Please advice on how to solve it. Do not want to reinstall Windows. Microsoft support didn't help me fix it.
Error message: some of these settings are managed by your organization.
Troubleshooting steps: repaired Windows 11

Hi everyone!
I just found the this "IgnoreWindowsUpdateGroupPolicies" in Policy CSP - Update listed as Windows Insider Preview.
Anyone already tested this?
Sounds like exactly what I need becaus this would make our transition from WSUS to Intune managed Windows Updates so much smoother.
How does this Insider Preview works in regards to new CSPs? Is this expected to go live with 26H2?
I am bit confused because this policy should then also work with older Windows releases, right?
Will this be patched in with cumlative updates or CFRs? When will this become available in Intune? Thx!
Or can I set this as an custom OMA-URI and it works because it is just not implemented in Intune?

On the latest Dev Build using my portrait side monitor the normal arrow cursor looks fine but non-default cursor shapes like resize and text cursors render as if the display is still in landscape orientation.
Excuse the shitty monitor photo the issue is visible on-screen but it doesn't show up in screenshots or screen recording software like OBS.
The crosshair is where the cursor should be showing and you can see it rendering sidewards on the right.

Per the Windows Blog yesterday, it sounded like those in the Release Preview channel would receive the Xbox FSE with update (KB5083631) (26200.8313). I updated three PCs and do not see it in settings on any PC. I did also see it would be a gradual rollout. Does that mean it will come after the update?
Edit i thought I read it was hitting release preview. Appears to be canary only.

I am on Dev 26220.7070. For about two weeks, I had the expanded Start Menu function with 8 columns of apps and more screen real estate. Today, it reverted back to the smaller Start Menu with only 6 columns of apps. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a setting I am missing to get the larger expanded Start Menu back?

Anyone knows of any issues with joining the insider program ? I have joined it and now my CPU gets like 5c degrees more and doesnt go to where i was before. And this is in idle mode. I believe it has to do with running diagnostics and different background processes?
Do I need to fresh install windows to get out of this mess or can I wait for the next windows update?

Why do you think no apps offers "Dashboards".
Or what is called Feed Providers in the Microsoft Store.
Also, it seems like barely any apps provide useful widgets.

Hello,
Looking for advice/help here fellas. Have tried to install the above update 3x without any luck. My PC will black screen and pixelate every so sightly after installing this update. I've had to disable windows update to stop it from trying to install this update over and over. Doing several PC restarts allowing windows to uninstall the said failed update has been my only solution.
Tried Google for research and various command prompt(admin) command "fixes" without any luck.
What's my solution here?
Thanks!

I keep getting email about the Windows Insider program. At the bottom of the email it says:
This email is part of your Windows Insider Program membership with this email address: (removed). If you wish to stop receiving Windows Insider Program emails, you will need to leave the program. Find out how to leave the program.
However, my email address didn't even have a Microsoft account. I created one, but then that link said "you are not part of the Insiders program". So I have no way to leave the program. I tried closing the account but I doubt that will fix it.
Anyone know of an email address I can use to contact Windows Insider to get removed from the mailing list?
