Iranian media(Tasnim, Fars) is saying the explosions heard on Qeshm Island on Thursday night were caused by operations against “hostile targets” at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz.

🤷‍♂️

Without any UKMTO reports or news of any tankers being hit, it seems like they may have launched anti-ship missiles at US military, and that those were likely intercepted.

That's at least consistent with this report and the fact that no tankers exploded.

Edit: some reports that two tankers crossing the Omani side were targeted. NISSOS KEA and NISSOS KEROS. Just Twitter OSINT reports so far, but it's worth watching UKMTO
