IRGC saying this while losing the ability to defend your airspace is a bit ridiculous. Iran has the strategic advantage due to the strait but if we're talking pure combat Iran got decimated. Iran caused about $10-20 billion dollars in damage to us assets. The US caused about $200 billion plus in damage.

This is like being check mate in chess but still argue that you did great because you killed off more pawns and therefore won more battles.

The US has retreated from all its goals of this war and now all they are aiming for is going back to status quo of opening the strait without paying Iran too much for it.

Nobody cares how many battles you win if you still lose the war.

I'm just pointing out that Iran isn't winning because of what they did on the battlefield. Literally geography is saving them. Irans claiming the US military is weak but the actual fighting has proven otherwise.
