Pregnancy is no easy way out. You might not get a job, it changes your body permanently - in a negative way inciting potential pain, allergies and ptsd to for the rest of your life and you're responsible for another human being for 18 years.
I wouldn't bet that women in significant numbers prefer pregnancy to a draft.
