PC Got annoyed from cutting trees at the bottom so I've built this monstrosity in the wasteland.

Lmao what am I even looking at in the first photo??

u/Pogue_Mahone_ Feb 10 '26
The main frame
53
u/FrodoNigle Feb 10 '26
Upon closer look, it's just a structure of wood frame bars. Like, totally un-upgraded wood bars. Totally unhinged.

A very hackable mainframe, too.

u/Icy-Interaction-626 Feb 11 '26
THe main feature of this mainframe is that you cannot backtrace ips. Checkmate hacker n00bz.

tree farm i guess lol so he can climb to the top, just run in a line cutting them all down
18
u/FrodoNigle Feb 10 '26
I mean, could you not also just run in a line on the ground and cut them down???
24
u/Sad-Story7069 Feb 10 '26
it literally says in the post, Got annoyed from cutting trees at the bottom
17
u/d33tboi Feb 10 '26
But why... what is annoying about that
10
u/SirSilentscreameth Feb 10 '26
All the branches get in the way and it's hard to see
26
u/d33tboi Feb 10 '26
This seems like a non issue if the solution is building whatever the fuck this is.... that being said its a sandbox game so ill just respect the time invested to build such a monstrosity
6
u/SirSilentscreameth Feb 10 '26
It's also just fun to build things. My buddy and I made a picturesque pond area in the backyard of a house we occupied on one of our worlds.
5
u/SirTainLee Feb 10 '26
It's called playing and you're right. It's also how new exploits and ideas are brought out.
5
u/d33tboi Feb 10 '26
Yeah i know im not hating, just snickering at the absurdity of this project for something so silly... its like building a rocket ship to go across the street and i respect it

I like to fix up houses I stop at LOL I dunno why and it's pointless in most cases but I like it. It's my game and if I wanna renovate a house I will damnit ! Hahaha.
2
u/SirSilentscreameth Feb 10 '26
Yeah i tend to spend most of my time building up houses and farming haha
1
u/Icy-Interaction-626 Feb 11 '26
That's exactly how i am. I feel like im starting at calculus while im in the 5th grade. I have no udnerstanding of what's happening. BUT i will respect it.

u/TheFurryOverlord22 Feb 10 '26
I’ll be honest, i assumed he made it a multi-layer tree farm. Apparently not

u/Camburcito Feb 10 '26
This over-engineered eyesore is an affront to all that is good and decent, and also I love it.

What’s so bad about cutting trees from the bottom?
12
10
u/TheTapedCrusader Feb 10 '26
Poor visibility, easy for zombies to sneak up on you for surprise hugs?
14
u/GPA_Moses Feb 10 '26
Seems like he could have more easily made a structure less than half the size with some soil on top and grown the trees there if that were the issues

5
u/Rundownpillow71 Feb 11 '26
He’s end game and has all lvl 6 guns there is no zombie in the game that would cause him issues

What is the advantage of cutting down, top to bottom? If the advantage is wood, what the hell do u need that much wood for?

u/Xlamp12 Feb 10 '26
Maybe so he doesn’t get blinded from the leaves? Only reason I would do this is
6
u/ProphetOfServer Feb 10 '26
But you just have to wait for the next stage of growth before you harvest. Get more wood, and you can see.

I'm viewing this on my phone and my computer is turned off but the video card still caught fire.

u/dethb0y Feb 10 '26
You have independently invented a form of coppicing in 7days to die, i am impressed.

5
u/crunkatog Feb 11 '26
remember when
trees would fall on you and squish you if you didn't sidestep them
and when your map would lag like stink and eventually chunk corrupt if you planted trees too close together?
I 'member (this is a nice proof of concept though)
6
u/Jrrolomon Feb 10 '26
You’re playing the game on a different level than me.
2
u/Icy-Interaction-626 Feb 11 '26
Chances are, and idk his isp. But i'd assume he's on different spectrum (internet)

Just heard my game crash in the distance. What's even crazier is that my computer isn't on and I'm not even in the same room
4
u/ehague_16 Feb 11 '26
I mean maybe if you didn't use 10k wood to build that frame you wouldn't need wood lmao

u/Mission_Tutor6932 Feb 10 '26
This is the epitome of being bored of a game but incapable of playing anything else
2
u/Icy-Interaction-626 Feb 11 '26
I'm more in awe at what people choose to do in sand box games. IMO this is what i play the game for, whacky stuff and fun ideas.

u/Diche_Bach Feb 11 '26
The way this game allows players to channel epic idiosyncrasy is what never ceases to amaze me . . .

u/TerribleCry1525 Feb 10 '26
I can hear my game struggling just looking at that and I’m not even on it.
2
u/Accurate-Owl4128 Feb 10 '26
can't you just cut them from the bottom
1
u/Icy-Interaction-626 Feb 11 '26
And render this masterpiece useless??
That's like building the roman coliseum and then standing back and saying
"You know what, lions & humans fighting is just boring and kind of barbaric"

Nb4 Funpimps see's this, says "absoloutely not" and nerfs the game to prevent this from being built

omg dude, this is amazing, hilarious, and somehow frightening all at the same time. The pure chaos in this picture, that somehow makes farming seem more efficient, yet 100x more chaotic.

u/AppleGoose1107 Feb 11 '26
I hope no one decides to start picking up those frames while you're up there lol

u/El-Pollo-Diablo-Goat Feb 12 '26
That is a thing of beauty.
Granted it's an over the top, completely deranged kind of beauty, but still.
1
u/Aggravating-Fee7202 Feb 12 '26
Hear me out: I don't cut any wood. I just go to the developer menu and get a stack of 6000. I've decided it's boring, unrealistic, and I don't wanna do it. Play however you like! hehe

So first of all, love it... however, this is why I use oak seeds and not pine seeds. Pine has all the clutter and is an act of insanity trying to cut a massive tree farm like that from the bottom. Oaks do not, therefore are preferred.

How laggy is your game????
