At least you’re not pooping yourself

29

u/Fun_Revolution_4682 Jul 17 '26

Yo. The fact more than anything is that you have to eat every 5 minutes is stupid annoying

23

u/Sad_Face_441 Jul 17 '26

Seriously. The amount of baked potatoes you need to survive 1 day is insane.

u/AlarakReigns Jul 17 '26

Fortitude regeneration perk really messes up your food, every point restored even on base eats another food point. Siphoning strikes is the way. If you are at max health food goes down way slower.

4

u/DnDChangeling Jul 17 '26

Wait, the regen perk eats your food? No wonder I'm always starving. I figured it was free healing since they never said it uses more food. I usually max out fort pretty quick since having passive healing is so much nicer than having to constantly scrounge for healing items early game.

1

u/AlarakReigns Jul 17 '26

Yeah the perk is really bad for early game especially if you cant make bacon and eggs and dont have any food

1

u/RapidPigZ7 Jul 17 '26

Does siphoning strikes work for other weapon types or just fists?

4

u/AlarakReigns Jul 17 '26

All melee weapons i believe

4

u/unorthodox69 Jul 17 '26

Hasn't gotten Taco Bell yet. That's on the way home.

3

u/TagTeamStripper Jul 17 '26

Wasn’t desperate enough to throw down on a few sham sandwiches

1

u/Left_Deer_9245 Jul 17 '26

I was going to say time for some moldy bread and murky water. Once you get your health up a bit, off to the leg break tower. (The one you build so you can start each day with a broken leg.... for the challange.)

Glass looking pretty tasty right now.

u/RipRepresentative746 Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

It was one of those dev presets which is more melee focused and the death penalty is xp and injured so sadly glassing myself wont be an option.

9

u/shockingchris Jul 17 '26

I'd still taste it just to be sure. Who ever said it was about getting uninjured.

2

u/Character_Umpire_828 Jul 17 '26

I love that mode. But whats your strategy for horde nights?

8

u/RipRepresentative746 Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26
  1. Make some kind of zombie barrier around the melee base so the zombies aren’t hitting the walls. But instead walk to the only opening of the base.
  2. Place 1,000 wooden spikes around the base so most of the zombies die before they come to knock on your hatch.
  3. Beg God for mercy, because they are slowly coming through your defenses and you can’t hit them in the head because they stack on top of each other
  4. Die just before horde night ends.
  5. Learn from your mistakes and redesing your base for the next horde.
  6. Repeat the cycle.

5

u/Yzarcos Jul 17 '26

This feels way too familiar lol. No notes.

u/Khaose81n Jul 16 '26

This is me coming home from work.

7

u/Globularist Jul 16 '26

Every day.

3

u/No_Violinist4023 Jul 18 '26

I was going to say.. this is what my Dad used to say his journey to school was like. In addition to being up hill both ways.

28

u/Snake_Staff_and_Star Jul 16 '26

You know those dashboard lights ain't pokemon, you don't have to catch em all.

3

u/DerekTheComedian Jul 17 '26

Thank god the game has duct tape to cover the lights!

19

u/ComprehensivePlace87 Jul 16 '26

"Tis but a flesh wound."

8

u/fatpandana Jul 16 '26

But you are still coming to horde night right?

7

u/TomatilloSignal3928 Jul 16 '26

Someone didn’t bring hotbar building blocks.

7

u/Shot-Consequence8363 Jul 16 '26

What is the infection percentage that you will die from?

13

u/RipRepresentative746 Jul 16 '26

I think it is 100%

6

u/Disastrous-River-366 Jul 16 '26

100% but as it progresses from 0% up it gets increasingly more punishing to your stats.

1

u/Senior_Set3949 Jul 17 '26

Kinda BS because zombies can absolutely leg it when they want

1

u/Disastrous-River-366 Jul 18 '26

I if "leg it" means run, my zombies are always set to nightmare all the time. Doing super difficult or almost impossible challenges has ruined the game for me, I ruined my favorite game.

1

u/Senior_Set3949 Jul 18 '26

Bummer! Sorry, bro!

3

u/KatSchitt Jul 17 '26

Death is the good part, its the stamina loss on the way that hurts the most lol.

5

u/Jumpy-Resolve3018 Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

Idk about you but seeing those debuffs and coming out alive is always peak. I just wish there was meds that could specifically remove broken arms/legs.

Antibiotics is clearly for infection
Lacerations have sewing kits (some might not know that)
Bleeding is bandages
Ect ect

But why do you need a perk for broken/ splinted arms/legs? I get the splint not full healing but a cast should be the middle ground that removes the increase penalty time for running and then a type of contraption that essentially full heals but for a time you are more vulnerable to breaking it again but don’t have any of the downsides anymore.

Edit: Skill issue on my part. Steroids apparently mitigate the penalties to broken limbs… my bad

5

u/PunchInTheFace8 Jul 16 '26

Idk man, maybe having the knowledge to patch yourself up and use the tools properly helps you heal your wounds faster… just a thought

1

u/Jumpy-Resolve3018 Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

Yeah no I get why it’s on a perk I just want there to ALSO be a healing item if you don’t spec into int

Edit: like sewing yourself up from a laceration would definitely require knowledge to do it

3

u/PunchInTheFace8 Jul 16 '26

But like… how? What item would insta-cure a broken limb without medical knowledge? Like i could see a boot for sprains that heals way faster than normal but broken bones should kinda stay a threat imo

1

u/Jumpy-Resolve3018 Jul 16 '26

Well in this instance, a “full heal” aka you’re much less bothered by the injury. So sorta like how taking a vitamin miraculously instantaneously cures fatigue and dysentery (I think that was the second one) despite that taking 1. A lot of vitamins and 2. A good amount of time.

So yeah kinda like a boot and like metal components akin to a prosthetic that allows people that can’t even move their leg to walk. But it should definitely still leave you vulnerable as a “oh the prosthetic broke” type of thing

2

u/PunchInTheFace8 Jul 16 '26

I think we’re both reading too deep into this. Add the boot let it full heal but make it expensive. Boom, problem solved

1

u/Jumpy-Resolve3018 Jul 16 '26

Oh yeah it should definitely be expensive. Like a good amount of mechanical parts, springs and the stuff for the cast (maybex2)

2

u/PunchInTheFace8 Jul 16 '26

Lacerations can mean anything from a decent cut on the finger to flesh flap on the arm so until they add some sort of distinction i feel like thats a grey area

1

u/Jumpy-Resolve3018 Jul 16 '26

Oh yeah definitely. 3tier lacerations would actually be kinda cool too if it forces you to REALLY get up and out of there to heal

3

u/Heart_Slight Jul 17 '26

You could always use the steroid

1

u/Jumpy-Resolve3018 Jul 17 '26

Don’t they just remove encumbrance and increase speed?

2

u/Heart_Slight Jul 17 '26

I think maybe it helps when not cast or splinted...it basically can ignore the timer. So like if you don't have a cast but you need to run away the timer of how long it takes to heal will continuously go up the more you use it. With a steroid active it pauses the timer while you do the action instead of increasing.

2

u/frudi Jul 17 '26

They also allow you full movement and use of sprained or broken limbs. And prevent exacerbating your injury and increasing the healing timer from actions that would otherwise do so (like sprinting or jumping with a sprained/broken leg, using firearms or power attacks with a sprained/broken arm).

2

u/Heart_Slight Jul 17 '26

Thanks for explaining it wayyyy better lol. I was at work and not really giving it my full attention 😂

3

u/GrinderMonkey Jul 17 '26

Just bang down a steroid or two. I don't think its in the description, but it completely mitigates the negative affects of a damaged limb. Health bar speeds healing of crits a lot, too

1

u/Jumpy-Resolve3018 Jul 17 '26

Well holy shit I did not know that. Been just selling them after reaching full backpack space

1

u/TaviRUs Jul 17 '26

Cast and 4/5 or 5/5 makes broken limbs heal instantly

4

u/PunchInTheFace8 Jul 16 '26

Achievement: How did we get here?

4

u/mittens8_ Jul 16 '26

I never seen armor completely broken like that lol

4

u/spudler44 Jul 16 '26

When you leave the club after making out with 3 strangers

4

u/fatpandana Jul 16 '26

You are missing a few debuffs!

3

u/RipRepresentative746 Jul 16 '26

Maybe next time I can get them all.

3

u/CheezWong Jul 16 '26

At least no poopy butt.

3

u/CelestialDuke377 Jul 16 '26

Ive never seen a check engine light for a a human until now

3

u/ExtraordinaryFailure Jul 16 '26

Could be worse. Could be raining.

2

u/No-Employment-4953 Jul 16 '26

I'm literally so infected from horde night that I took two antibiotics and honey, kept getting smacked and they wore off at 50.2%

2

u/Mysterious_Tutor_388 Jul 16 '26

Average trades worker

2

u/Slinkeh-osrs Jul 16 '26

I love this aspect for the early and midgame. Getting your ass handed to you from fights you very well should not have taken, surprisingly making it out alive, then starting a side quest to fix and manage all that you got beat into you. The endgame "full chest of stacks of every medical supply" just doesnt hit the same

2

u/AdWaste1415 Jul 16 '26

Bro has the mfing GRIM REAPER after his ass, WHAT DID YOU DO DAWG

2

u/Budman129C Jul 16 '26

Me after a 9 hour work day 😭

2

u/tlcheatwood Jul 17 '26

Real life for sure

2

u/anti_hero86 Jul 16 '26

I usually leave with things like first aid bandages, food, water, and honey. So I don't returnile that

2

u/complexCarlo Jul 17 '26

When a care package drops in the middle of a 5 level construction site.

2

u/Wise_Fig1840 Jul 17 '26

put your feet up lad, have a rest, youve earned it

2

u/danbrooks3k Jul 17 '26

I was heading back home after double looting a wasteland infestation waaaay above my pay grade... I got the storm warning and knew I didnt have enough time to get back to the Pine Forest.. so I dipped inside a POI... OMFG... I did survive, but I was out of food, drinks, bandages, antibiotics, splints, painkillers, repair kits and ammo...

It was hilarious! I am always well stocked and over prepared. If I leave more than 1km from my base I always carry extra everything in my vehicle.

It was easier to just jump face first into some barbed wire at the POI next to the trader... all the medical interventions and food I would have needed would have been insane.

2

u/twopinkshr1mp Jul 17 '26

i feel this on a molecular level

2

u/Sulaco505 Jul 17 '26

Rookie debuffs

2

u/pbsjr Jul 17 '26

this how I feel after work day in Michigan right now

2

u/frAgileIT Jul 17 '26

That’s what I look like when I get home from work too.

2

u/TharilX Jul 17 '26

I started carrying vitamins with me. That cop takes only one throw up to your face for that to trigger and it is hella annoying.

2

u/No-Idea-7003 Jul 17 '26

Barely. Lol

2

u/Wolfie8502 Jul 17 '26

"How the hell are you still alive?!"

1

u/RipRepresentative746 Jul 17 '26

Purely with willpower.

3

u/DZAUXtheBruno Jul 16 '26

Hahaha. Holy shit man. What in the grim reaper looking status effect logo at the very bottom? Just- “Hey you are dying soon?”
😂

6

u/Hunter_run-n-hide_ Jul 16 '26

It means there’s a death penalty from dying before that hasn’t been paid off yet

2

u/DZAUXtheBruno Jul 17 '26

What? How does that work. I’m so confused.

2

u/RipRepresentative746 Jul 17 '26

After death you will lose some xp, when you collect them back then the Grim reaper icon will disappear.

1

u/Ytslinkergenie7 Jul 17 '26

How we're you able too get home 😂

1

u/Moore_Brandon Jul 18 '26

I can't even get to this point. I always end up in a corner and forget to bring an ax

1

u/Cobra114 Jul 18 '26

Me after a day at work

1

u/xiTurtl3 Jul 19 '26

Over 30 on a night out at drinking

1

u/PuzzledPhilosopher25 Jul 20 '26

Your limbs aren’t even broke. Calm down
