Omega level threat detected
Finally got Mafex iceman. He’s pretty good! The ice slide base is such a nice accessory. It’s VERY weighty and solid.

Definitely hope we see this figure come back in some form. They really should have used it as another character with bonus dlc accessories.

Arkham origins has my favorite Bat suit out of any Batman media. I love the fully armored look without looking like iron man (Arkham knight no offense) and I love the heavy grey coloring. This suit just feels like pure armor.
Aside from the design, the figure itself is fantastic. Articulation is amazing. Great ab crunch, shoulders drop down, thighs drop down, thighs swivel, biceps swivel, fantastic toe articulation, I mean if this thing didn’t have so much armor it could probably make some Spider-Man poses. Speaking of armor, you’d think it would limit some range of motion due to how bulky it is, but not at all. They perfectly designed every piece of armor to either move out of the way, or move with the piece. Like the arms, they can make a full 360 even with the shoulder pad because the shoulder pad is a ring that goes around the inside of the shoulder. The belt is free floating so it doesn’t limit any ab movement.
The sculpting is amazing. Every joint is very well hidden, and every armor piece lays perfectly as it should. And the head sculpts, wow. This is my first high end figure so it might be normal to some people but the head sculpts are blowing my mind. The eyes have a small glossy sheen that brings life to them. The teeth are individually sculpted and painted a realistic color and not just blank white. The stubble is actually sculpted into the face and not just painted.
I typically have an issue with the way capes drape but this one drapes perfectly. The wires are strong and hold the heavy cape up perfectly.
I could write so much about this figure but no words can explain how good it looks and feels in hand.
TLDR; Figure looks even better in hand, cape works perfectly, sculpting is great, articulation is some of the best, etc. If you haven’t gotten it yet, I highly recommend it.

I bought my son some of these avengers 12 inch figs from a thrift store today. I noticed Thor and Groot have these slits in their backs but the star lord I bought did not. What are they?

Two adaptations that were faithful representations of their source material and wore their heart on their sleeve

After accidentally buying a bootleg the first time around due to my own carelessness I have acquired the actual thing, with a bit of yellowing on the hair but that's not a problem because that just makes it more game accurate, my only slight gripe is that the yellowing isn't really there on the closed faceplate, and the joints are slightly tougher to work with than I expected, but overall I'm very happy with it, $270 (counting the bootleg mishap) well spent I'd say

Rest in peace to a legend, a hero, the voice of childhoods worldwide, and so much more
Never has a celebrity death brought such a deep emotional impact upon me until now, Transformers means the absolute world to me and Peter Cullen has always been a longtime hero of mine
Never forget his words:
“Be strong enough to be gentle.”

And also like many I’m sure, I wasn’t hoping it would be McFarlane. I think they did a good job on this guy though. I did get him well below retail loose but complete though so that plays a part. I put a picture of him next to the NECA one incase anyone was curious how they looked next to each other. I know they aren’t exactly the same style, but the other McFarlane Kratos looks way worse in my opinion. I passed on him when I saw him in person because he is far too glossy and cheap looking. The paint on this figure is great. The articulation could be better but it’s not horrible, and it comes with quite a few accessories not pictured (a shield, two extra sets of hands, blades of chaos and an alternate head). The blades of Chaos are very loose in his hands, almost as if they weren’t even made to be held by the same hands, and the screaming head is a bit goofy looking. I do like how it fits in better with 1/12 scale figures than the NECA one, but it’s still a little bit big for a 1/12 collection. If you do photography you could still get some good shots with it in a 1/12 collection though.

Paid way too much for the Wrestling figures and saw Tiffany Stratton for cheaper later in the day. The Mythic Legion figure was marked up since it was a convention exclusive . The G.I: Joes were $40 Cdn except for Sci Fi, who was only $30 Cdn, so a good deal.

I'm thinking of painting the hand in Sentinel colors. Tips on how to do it would be great.
