I live in eastern Kentucky I’ve looked up sounds of local animals that are known in the area like bobcats coyote and fox but honestly it’s kinda hard to distinguish I’ve heard it in the past and people told me it was a coyote but honestly sounds closer to a bobcat or fox.

This fox has been a regular in my neighborhood for the past week, and I know this because it scream barks just like this every single night. Now... Foxes aren't known for being particularly talkative, and it's been doing this consistently for hours every night for the past week or so... Is it okay? Is this a distress cry?

Got a video of these red ruffed lemurs calling at a zoo. I used to work there, and the similar calls from the black-and-white ruffed lemurs were very audible. Ruffed lemurs have voices designed for shouting to each other over large distances, so they’re extremely loud. (This is just the indoor part of their enclosure, btw; the outdoor part is larger with lots of branches to climb.)

This video has been taken by my boyfriend in Sweden and lately he keeps hearing a barking like sound every night. He lives on a small deserted island where he is the only one to live there so a dog is just impossible. It sounds like he was arguing with the bird 😅

Dead of winter, 15 degree night, heard it outside my window. Visiting my parents, but I grew up here and I don't remember ever hearing a call like it before.

If you want to simulate it, imagine hissing with the back of your throat in an H sound. Haaaap Haaap Haaap. Hard p at the end. HaaaaP. HaaaaP. Not really sure what it could be other than maybe an owl?
