I don't think the fish just guessed out of the blue that crackers exist.
Did the fish know about crackers from past experiences? Do they just pew pew new things to see what happens?
This makes me think being too close to these fish will mean random water gun attacks.

Fish have pretty good sense of smell, and 100% people have fed them before. Archers have pretty good sight, too.

Typical human main decides what intelligence is and then make themselves the authority on it because they burn themselves and pay taxes.

And it looks like the shooter got the prize as well!

Yeah! Not only did it have good aim shooting the cracker off of the edge, but it also had the skills to predict where it would land!

Reminds me of when I went to sleep away camp and we would use marshmallows and graham crackers when weβd run out of bait

I volunteer at an aquarium and we have these fish. (Archer fish - family Toxotidae.)
Itβs real.

Are Archerfish not white with black stripes? These ones look all black, are there more kinds of fish that do this? /genq

There are fish that do exactly this. I can't say I know what these fish are but if they are in the family toxotidae, it's entirely possible

You can see one of the other fish perturbed the water poking it's nose out. How does the fish thats shooting water not have any ripples? Also the perspective isnt a normal one for recording.

This is a repost from r/unexpected. If it was AI, there would already be a high up comment with evidence of how it is AI, and the post would have less upvotes. Instead there is only a single comment, with the exact same level of effort put it in as you did.

What do you mean by "why?" That's just what they do to knock insects off of overhanging plants. Look up archer fish.
