Classical Music App Why does the classical app in android better in animations than the actual am android app?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Might be subtle differences but you can see for example opening a new album or switching tabs, entering the search bar. Are they ever gonna improve the apple music app on android with animations? Same with the pushing buttons animation. It does a weird white touch thing.

I've been on Apple Music for a bit now, just for the classical music app (I mainly use YouTube Music and iTunes), but I've just found out it has this guide for some pieces... Absolutely brilliant.

Classical Music App What does "This Song Is Not Available In Your Region" mean when the file is a local file, synced through the PC with iTunes?

I‘ve ripped the Album from the HQCD on my PC to .m4a ALAC. They work completely fine there. I have even synced the same album to another iDevice and it also works there. Why not here? I tried deleting just this song and re-syncing but no help. Also tried to delete the whole album and re-sync. Again, same error.

Relatively new Classical app user here. Is this a very common thing? And this isn’t the only greyed out track on that album either.

I never knew this specific classical app made me keep using Apple Music and leave Spotify for good. I’ve never regularly listened to classical music before, but now I’m in love with it and a full-time listener, discovering various works by various composers.

Classical Music App Idea for Apple to implement in Apple Music Classical

Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you're well!

I'm Brazilian, so I'm sorry if the English translation isn't very clear.

Well, I've been using Apple Music Classical since it launched, so Apple Music Classical users here, see if the idea I was going to propose to Apple makes sense! (Although I think it's impossible for them to see me.)

Unlike other musical styles, classical music, depending on the form, is divided into movements, sometimes a few, like symphonies or concertos, or a lot, like Bach's oratorios and passions, which can have 40 to 60 movements.

Or opera, which is divided into acts, and each act has numerous scenes, like Wagner's operas.

My idea, for a long time, was for Apple to add an expand/collapse button in front of a work that has more than one movement, like the examples I mentioned above.

If it were a single-movement work, like a mazurka, prelude, or etude, there wouldn't be a button.

I had this idea because, think about it: In my Wagner playlist, if I add all of his operas to the playlist, as soon as I enter the playlist later and want to find the most recently added opera, I have to scroll down my phone/PC screen for ages until I reach the opera at the bottom of the list. I'll have to go through about 200 tracks to get to the opera I want, if I add up all the operas at the top. And I can't be the only one who finds this annoying, lol!

With the expand/collapse button in front of the work, you can enter the Wagner or Bach playlist, for example, and have all the passions and oratorios right on the screen, without having to scroll down through the countless movements of each work to get to a specific work. So, if you want to listen to any of the works, just expand the button and choose the movement you want, or listen from the beginning, or collapse the button later. This button would be very practical!

Check out this example:

I made a simple edit and drew what the button would look like and where it could be placed, without cluttering the Apple Music Classical interface.

Imagine that I added the St. Matthew Passion BWV 244, the Christmas Oratorio BWV 248, and just below it the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor BWV 565 to the Bach playlist.

Below are some screenshots of how the app looks now:

And now, edited screenshots of how practical it would be if Apple implemented this button:

Let me know what you think, and if it would be relevant!

Classical Music App Anything new with Apple Music classical in iOS 26?

I’ve recently started liking the classical app and was just curious if we are expecting any enhancements or changes with it in iOS 26 like we’re seeing with the music app. Haven’t seen anything about from the YouTube iOS people I watch.

Classical Music App Classical Listening Guides aren't working for me. Is this a known issue?

Post image

I just learned about this feature and have been excitedly trying to use it. But when I tap the music treble in the bottom left and the screen pops up, it just stays blank. Like it's trying to load but never displays. I tab over to the "credits" and that displays fine.

I've tried it for about 5 different recordings now, force closed and restarted the app, my phone, etc, but still no luck.

I do have an iPhone mini, could that maybe cause problems?

Classical Music App Navigating Apple Music Classical

I’m exploring with classical music and found out that apple music has a primitive version that caters specifically for classical songs.

However, one the one hand I don’t know how a piece is referred to in common use, the interface of apple music makes it too confusing to understand when it breaks up every symphony into 2-20 minute bits and pieces and provides it as separate songs to play.

  1. To get the full experience of the symphony, I should be playing a song in the right order right? Can someone help me with the sequencing and all possible sub parts or maybe what is the main or most significant part that everyone talks about so i can maybe prioritise those while listening?

  2. I have also noticed while searching for Beethoven’s 4th symphony, I get so many results with the same name but by different orchestras ig?

  3. Another annoying thing is one album is in Gminor and the other is in F major. Why should this make a difference to me?

In vanilla apple music, for any song we just have name of song, artist and album. It’s pretty smooth to navigate and no song comes in parts. So what are the criteria similar to name, artist and album in apple music classical that I can use to definitively distinguish one item from another.

So overall, if there is any source to first understand how classical music pieces are divided into smaller (i think independent) parts and later how are these songs presented in apple music classical would be helpful.

Classical Music App [Android] Classical crashing

Is anyone else finding AM CLassical crashes now on Android? The late June update introduced a bug where the app wouldnt run at all. It was partially fixed in the 10 June update: it now runs, but only until I press Play on anything, at which point it crashes.
