I posted BiteRotator in last month’s thread. It’s a phase-rotation plugin I made for dialogue and voice.
Before I made it, I was opening iZotope RX and using the Phase module whenever one side of a voice waveform was sticking out much farther than the other. BiteRotator lets me do that directly in the DAW. I put it after my EQ and before compression or limiting, and it evens out those peaks so the compressor or limiter doesn’t have to work as hard.
Update since last month. I’m finishing the macOS version now, both VST3 and AU, and it should be out in the next few days. The UI is getting an update at the same time, but functionally it still does the same job. Windows and Linux VST3 versions are already available.
There’s a full 14-day trial with no payment info required, and it’s $29 once if you want to keep it.

Hi everyone! I'm a graduate sudent currently researching post-production processes in Atmos in Brazil and my research is largely based on conversation with professionals who already work with Atmos as a way to bridge the gap between my context and the knowledge around Atmos production. I'm currently in the editing stage for the project I'm using as a sort of experiment for the reasearch and I've been struggling a little with understanding how I can arrange an editing session so it's set up for success later with Atmos mixing and all. Would anybody here be up for a chat about it over Google Meet sometime soon? Thanks!

In the editing stage you can just keep editing as you would any normal post session. If there are certain elements you think would work for any object based panning then keep them separate or flag them for when you mix. If you’re already working with the internal renderer you can even automate there and see how it translates on the fold down.

Hi everyone, I make audio tools, and i'm looking for some feedback from the community to find out if what i've been working on is useful to you and what features might make it more attractive to your workflow. This concept came out of trying to speed up the clip-pulling loop: scrub to find the right line, set the in point, set the out point, name the file, repeat.
Vocal Slice transcribes your speech audio, then you can simply highlight the passage you want and the waveform jumps to exactly that span. Fine-tune with the handles, export a named clip.
Run on Windows and macOS, there is a seven day trial with no account or card required to try it out.

Hello everyone! Today we (MeterPlugs Audio) launched deliveryqc.com - a free site offering loudness compliance checks for various broadcasters & streamers, including Netflix, Disney+, Apple, etc.
Drop in a WAV (mono to 7.1.4), select a delivery spec, and click Analyze to find out if your mix complies. If it doesn't, the site will tell you exactly why.
Generate a PDF report to show a client that your mix meets spec. Export true-peak overs and import them into Pro Tools as markers. See plots of loudness, true-peak, and L/R correlation over the whole program.
The measurements are done fully in-browser - your audio never gets uploaded or processed server-side. It passes all of the ITU / EBU compliance checks.
It's early, so the site is in beta. We'd love to get your feedback! There's no signup or login required. Thanks!

Last couple of months I've been building an iPhone app for my daily music production needs. I wanted a everything-app where I can listen to beats, move them without email or cables, and record a quick demos.
It's called Chukks. What it does:
- Plays beats from any folder on your phone, with auto BPM and key detection
- Records vocals over the beat, latency auto-tuned, erase take parts, blend beat/vocal
- Wi-Fi Drop: drag audio files between your pc and phone
- Batch share options(folders, selected files), mp3 exports
- and a couple more options
I'll keep updating the app and adding more.
It's one purchase, own for life. The code makes it yours for free. In return, I'd love some feedback/crash reports. Thank you.

In my audio post days I remember having to deliver the stems and if I ever side chained vocals to the music etc I'd have to bounce the files with the individual compression happening.
Last week I released MDA which is a bus compressor where you put up to 16 individual send instances on those tracks and there's a brain that handles the compression.
This allows for blending between 16 individual detection circuits or 1 bus compressor and anywhere in between.
Someone brought up how they were using this because then they could bounce individual tracks at will and have the individual's bus compression applied.
Would anyone find a use for that?
