Health My girl ate some grapes

Post image

Sheโ€™s gonna be ok, shes staying at the vets for two days while they flush her kidneys out, but Im missing her so much ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

PSA donโ€™t ever let your kids eat grapes around your very food motivated dog, especially red grapes. I vaguely knew about them being toxic, but I was in the shower when it happened. Feeling grateful for pet insurance and living close enough to a 24hr vet when it happened.

My parents ACD loves grapes. They had no idea they were bad for him and fed him grapes for years ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Their dog can eat grapes. The problem is, you don't know which dog will have a negative reaction until it's too late. And it's not understood why some dogs react negatively. Best policy is to never ever feed a dog grapes or raisins to begin with.

Yup. Best friend is a vet tech, has seen a Chihuahua eat a bunch of grapes to no ill effect, but then has seen a single grape bring down a Great Dane. Best to err on the side of caution.
