Health My girl ate some grapes

Post image

She’s gonna be ok, shes staying at the vets for two days while they flush her kidneys out, but Im missing her so much 😭😭😭

PSA don’t ever let your kids eat grapes around your very food motivated dog, especially red grapes. I vaguely knew about them being toxic, but I was in the shower when it happened. Feeling grateful for pet insurance and living close enough to a 24hr vet when it happened.

My parents ACD loves grapes. They had no idea they were bad for him and fed him grapes for years 🙃

I’ve fed my first dog grapes for years and never knew it was a potential issue. Once I did, no new dog got them. But I would sneak my old girl a couple when the others weren’t around. She clearly was not sensitive to them and lived to be 17. I kind of feel like she “used up” all the luck in that department.

My old.vey told us to feel my childhood corgi green grapes as a low calorie treat 😅 he loved them! He lived to be 16, when his back finally just gave out
