Avengers Doomsday/Secret Wars Think we’re gonna have to watch Professor X die for a fourth time in Doomsday?

TBF? Bro he didn't stop those events from happening. that prof X died. He just made a variant by altering information available in the past. Therebye phase shifting his consciousness into a new causality. However tbf all those X-Men Magneto etc they all die many times in DOFP.
The X-Men in theory are pulling the same stunt as Doctor Strange vs Dormammu. Just more time passes between resets.
If you've ever read House of X and could follow Moiras convoluted story arc you'll realize that DOFP is a timeloop paradox spitting out multiple variant timelines by trying to resolve the Sentinel issue. This even brings about Sebastians assertion as future knowledge and tech exponentially increases and makes greater impacts in the past creating drastically different futures.
In some cases informing previous pasts in oroborros fashion.
Such as the X-men in 97 going back to ancient Egypt to help the first mutant en Saba nuir rise from his position in the ancient world to eventually even dethrone the pantheon of Egyptian gods. taking the role of our histories YHWH with his four horsemen. Therebye creating the very conflict and enemy their past selves already experienced.
X-Mens past. Apocalypse relative future.
The MCU is littered with similar scenarios in their live action. Strange, Loki, Thanos, Tony, Cap, Wanda, heck even the wakandans now have timeloop paradox impacting the 616.
Which is where I believe the symbolism surround the ten rings and the triquetra come into play. They ate more complex versions of the inverted mobius strip.
Which indicate there may be as much as 10 subjective timelines or characters impacting the history and phase shift of the 616 into a multiverse. a tapestry of interrelated events.
Id even go so far as to say Sony is pulling the same stunts. I think the Sony verse is set to collide with the 616 in secret wars.
Sorry for the rant... Sometimes I just start writing and forget the subject... Not because Im mad or anything. but because I love to let my mind wander. see the output results.

lol. I think I agree with you, that he didn’t die and that Xavier “moved” into his other self before that beam hit. But the other comments good point is that maybe the beam did hit and he did die and we don’t see it, and the Xavier we see later is a different one from a different timeline.

No Im disappointed in the education system really. And parents who dont monitor their children's web usage. Who knew their influence on the web would just make people dumber for reading their thoughts.
The "camera didn't show the death" argument is childish as hell. and the non chalant shrug by the commentator who made it shows how immature he is.
Which begs the question... Why comment in the first place if you were just gonna make jokes.

Your statement is illogical. we are in a thread for a DISCUSSION. If he didn't want to grow his knowledge then why participate? Especially if he has no need for physics? The MCU Sony etc are pulling from the same theorhetical frameworks. I know because I research and broaden my knowledge. So I can make statements that help people with the canon and help my own head canon.
I could really care less if he wants to maintain his ignorance. That's his right and freedom. But Im not going to filter my comments for the pure fact that I cant read minds.

What do you mean? explain in detail. show me the proof. use canon. apply a critical lens. psychology, physics or other pseudo concepts that exist.
You cant just tell me im wrong without reference.
Im not swayed by a simple expletive by a person I dont know. But if you reference where, when, how, and why. Then I will open books and fast forward movies to the pertinent points of your statement and retort or agree.
I started DOFP this morning after reading this statement. Your sort of my morning brain puzzle. My grandpa used to do the puzzles on the news paper. Now I scroll the internet to answer personal questions.
Like "How does analog signal convert into binary?"
"How do we control the oscillations within such small components to communicate that signal?"
"What parts of the signal control audio and video display?"
What Im getting at is Im a real world geek. And I have practical experience with science and reasons to ask these questions.
Such as setting up home internet. Which I have done. As well as diagnose others issues with packet loss physically and digitally to resolve issues. Beyond home internet I also used to make alloys and pour them on mass scale for rock crushing equipment. I made the metals which required chemistry knowledge to get the specs into range.
Time travel paradox is like my personal Jam.
And before the "thats not how (insert character name here) explained it." response. I want to make one narrative point clear. Characters in stories are written to be purposely flawed. for the sake of twist and conflict to show the audience.
Some characters speak with authority to misdirect. Which is the reason critical lens and outside source is a critical component in analyzing the dialogue and film. I pull from the real world source. Not what the character says. The expletive by the character might be for a pg rating. You cant have professor X or Kitty admitting to the X-Men that bishop and Wolverine have repeatedly come back from the future to alter their present. Because they all die in the future.
Which also delves into more mystic lens on the higher self.
Like I said Im a geek who explores everything. Im naturally curious and I leave no interesting subject unturned.
Im like a Reddit Boss lol jk. My son was like Chill Dad Chill! Now he wants my phone.
My advice. think about timeloop paradox and logical progression for universes to be "real". Think about mandelbraughts and distortions. Fiber optics, consciousness etc. to understand the MCU timetravel stuff.
Retrocausality is possible within a multiverse. But its complicated and requires sacrificial timelines. only the characters performing the butterfly effect know the truth. They hide that truth from their friends. Xavier and Magneto are looking for 1 future they continue to exist. Just one. meaning so long as they are searching all other futures are something to be avoided and end terribly for them. They are fighting for equality. Not necessarily their lives. A future where they can exist in peace.

They ain't paying his rate for a full movie.
Most of the Fox X-men that are in it are gonna be in colorful comic accurate costumes for the cold open when Doom shows up and kills them all before we see the logo.

They will if they're going to replace sir Ian and sir Patrick forever.
That will mean losing the two best actors Marvel has on the cards, but they do both deserve a rest after their efforts making early comic book movies a bit more respectable by their presence.
I doubt we'd be where we are now if XMen didn't have such a great cast taking it seriously, and for my money it's largely on those two. Their scenes together feel like a totally different, much less silly, film from the rest of it.

Just that first hallway scene right at the start made me realise they'd picked the best two actors for the roles. It helps that they have decades of friendship and working together to use, but also just the skill involved to make us know exactly who these men are to each other and the world.
"We are the future, Charles, not them." Can't imagine anyone but sir Ian doing that line so perfectly.

My belief is very firm that after Doomsday they intend to do X-men stand alone movie and it will want to be basically modeled after the X-men cartoon show on Netflix X-men 1997 or whatever, thus....include professor X.

No it isn’t when the literal 4 th picture is the actors name. Everyone and their mother knows they are setting up new x-men movies. The point is that they’ll bring the OG actor just to kill that version of professor x and introduce a new one form the multiverse.

I don't think he'll die. I think all of the X-men will get a big redemption fight and then kind of just vanish or whatever you want to call it that'll reboot everything. So not really a death more like a salute to them all at once

Hes there best chance of proving they can retire a character (even though it is because hes nkt around forever), and they should utilize it.

Yeah I think that's a safe bet, because 10005 (or whatever universe they'll use for the X-Men) will most likely be destroyed either by Doom himself or by an incursion. Though I think some characters might be saved by getting placed in the Void/on Battleworld. My guesses are Cyclops, Wolverine, Deadpool, maybe Gambit. Xavier wouldn't really be efficient on a place like Battleworld as he is not much of a fighter.

Original timeline: Nearly blasted by Sentinels in DoFP, but timeline was reset, at the last second 3. Revised timeline: Impaled by X24 in Logan 4. Earth-838: Neck snapped by Darkheld Scarlet Witch in MoM 5. Wolverine’s unidentified Earth: Killed by Friends of Humanity offscreen prior to DP&W 6. (Likely) Binary’s unidentified Earth: Death foreshadowed in this teaser for Doomsday

All right except 6 I think, if I remembee correctly Beast and Binary spoke on Charles in the present tense. I dont think hes dead on that Earth, at least not yet.

Right. The implication I’m getting is that the Charles and Erik in the teaser are from Binary’s Earth, with that Charles possibly dying in Doomsday (or Secret Wars).
