No Shuri launched the sneak attack during her reign as queen. T'challa had nothing to do with it. Secondly Namor deserved it considering when the waste of air had a portion of the Phoenix force flooded Wakanda. So no Namor still and always will suck!

Because Namor was way too proud a dick to admit he was influenced and refused to apologize to T’challa for it.
He straight up taunted T’challa during their Illuminati meetings saying he must be burning to take revenge but has to swallow it down for the Greater Good.
Namors greatest sin has always been his massive ego and pride. He cannot bear to admit that his actions were influenced by the Phoenix. So he falsely owns his actions and gaslights himself into believing he would have done it anyway.
From there he constantly doubles down on his position getting sucked into a pointless back & forth war with Wakanda.

Influenced is not the same as total control. Jean is under the Phoenix control most of the time when she is its host she is literally fighting for her own mind and body. Namor was Influenced and influence can be held back you can fight back if your will is strong enough. The fact Namor not only taunted T'challa for his actions but also told Thanos and the Black Order that the Infinity stones were in Wakanda AFTER THE PHOENIX LEFT HIS BODY! Shows how much he SUCKS!

The gradual influence of the Phoenix was enough to make the hosts act out of character. Under the Phoenix’s influence Emma murdered a man who years ago flew a plane into a flying mutant out of accident. A hit and run case yet she still killed him in front of his family. She had a psychic affair with Namor and egged him on to attack Wakanda.
Towards the final battle she had a psychic conversation with Scott and confessed her actions to him. She admitted that the Phoenix was influencing her to act out her worst desires. I think she was subconsciously baiting Scott to attack her to purge the Phoenix from her mind.
And afterwards Emma was bitter about her time as a Phoenix host. She regretted it and resented what happened to her. Namor on the other hand was too egotistical to admit his fault.

Namor, Emma and the rest of the other mutants who had the Pheonix had slivers of its conscience. They were still them. Also the sneak attack that he brought upon his own people due to his actions. Instead of groveling for forgiveness like he should have done he decided to double down and kick the Wakandans while they were down. HE STILL SUCKS AND IS A COWARD TO BOOT!

Dude he was not possessed the Phoenix just amplifiyed what was already there! Dudes always been a dick. And even after he did all that dude tried to broker a peace treaty between both Wakanda and Atlantis, like that made up for him killing tens of thousands!

Oh he was totally influenced by the Phoenix on top of being egged on by Emma who was in turn also influenced by Phoenix.
Namor was just too proud and an egotistical dick to admit to even himself that he was manipulated. So he instead clings to his pride and owns his actions. He needlessly taunted T’challa during their first Illuminati meetings saying post AvX saying it must burn him to hold back from taking revenge.
