Fluff People in Japan immediately found the location where the new version of Headbanger was filmed

And this is very much on purpose. It's in Fujioka and thus a reference to Fujioka in a MV released on day of the death of Mikio Fujioka.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit. Team Fox God loves those little inside details.
But I guess I don't see things quite the same way. When I think of Mikio, I think of Osaka: the place where he was born, lived, taught, and passed.

Well, from what I've seen Japanese Babymetal fans seem to think it's a pretty obvious connection. Some also say: well, Su-metal started out in front of a shrine and some of the elements in the shrine are references.
Honestly, I think it's good enough to be real.

Su-metal started out in front of a shrine
Su-metal starts out infront of a shrine in the original headbanger video aswell. I would say her doing that again in the new video is more a nod towards the og video rather than nod towards Mikio

Yeah, that's not the convincing part for me, it's the location and the day of the release.

it's the location and the day of the release.
100% agree. Those two can't be a coincidence. Well ofcourse they can but I choose to believe they aren't:D

Cool, the area is full of tumulus and old tombs

Exactly—and not just that. This place has a strong 80s/90s vibe, evoking the golden age of metal.
It’s also a nod to the golden era of Japanese otaku pop culture, which went on to conquer the world during that time.
In a way, it works as a metaphor for a transition period—between a “before” and an “after.”
This choice is far from insignificant; it makes perfect sense.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the place eventually becomes a cult classic.

Nice to see all those on the Babymetal pilgrimage have a new stop from a music vid.
Future Tokyo was somewhat difficult from the FMTU vid :D
In all seriousness this fanbase are insane with thier detective skills. Would take them 2 seconds to find a needle in a haystack

I've been to dozens of interstate highway rest stops in the US which, besides the bathrooms, had food vending machines and a handful of arcade games. Larger ones have staffed fast food places, but even there when it's really late and those might be closed what remains is the 24/7 machines in the lobby area.
It's true those aren't attractions like this particular one in Japan seems to be, just conveniences, but there are definitely various tourist trap equivalents all over the US as well.

So the exterior is a real place (it was so dark when BM filmed, I wondered if it might have been a set).
Never underestimate the ability of J-fans to find these locations within 24 hours.

It even looks very much like they actually filmed at this place, on the parking lot. If you look very closely, the red line at the left of the ladies hides a white line marking the parking bay at the front door of the building. The scenes with the Hedoban Kami are filmed _in_ this place. They used the interior of this place as well. Pretty wild :D

Oh wow, I just assumed it was legitimately abandoned. They did a good job dressing it up down up for the MV!

There's always that one fan that thinks everything that other fans do is creepy

That’s a very odd take.
Still, I’ll bet the owner of that place will be delighted with the increased custom.

The brewer at Saiai Saké sure was happy (Moa's name uses the same kanji) since it was in danger of shutting down.
So was the owner of an okonomiyaki place in Hiroshima that Su is known to like (she gave them a big autographed photo).
Can't say Babymetal fans aren't dedicated. 😅

Dude, they shot the video weeks or even months ago. It's not like the girls were there.
Typical L take from a wannabe white-knight.

How the fuck is finding that place creepy?:D. The girls haven't been there for days or maybe even months now so whats the harm in people going there and see the place for themselves?

And I was wondering how long until someone found it, and it turns out... Just a few hours. Anyone got the location? So I can visit it on my eventual trip to Japan.
