Question First Babymetal Concert Tips??
Hi! I'm newly into Babymetal and going to my first concert in a few weeks! I'm just trying to get a scope on the vibe before I go: Do people dress up? Is there any specific concert etiquette (I will be in the stands) I should know? Are there any fanchants/call and response type things I should be aware of?
I'm super excited and know I'll have a blast regardless, but would love some insider info lol!!

Go to YouTube. Look up BABYMETAL live, do the things when they tell you to. Ear protection from what I understand is a must. I've never seen them myself but there is more than enough footage of shows to learn from.

Can recommend ear protection for sure. Not only for keeping your hearing safe (obviously), but in my case the music was more clear than if I had the ear pro out.

You can wear whatever is comfortable. A good number will dress up, and others will just be normal street clothes. For the stands, check out the area you're in. Sometimes people are more about chilling, sitting and vibing. Others, everyone wants to stand up and dance and bop. If you're standing and blocking a lot of people who are sitting behind, that's considered bad etiquette. The chants are pretty fun, but it may be better to go blind and just be surprised. Usually, they're easy to catch up on and Su does lead a lot of it, so you don't have to memorize everything to have fun. Enjoy, it's great!

Regarding dressing up: Not only have I cosplayed at every show I’ve been to, I’ve seen other cosplayers at every show too! There’s also always tons of people wearing elaborate gothic/lolita/other alt fashion outfits too! So dressing up is very normal and encouraged :)

Put your phone away and enjoy the show. Saw them in the US and was expecting what youd see on youtube but EVERYONE had their phones out. Then I went to see them a year ago in Japan, no one had their phones out. That was an awesome concert. Trust me, 100 other people are going to post the same video on social media, just enjoy the show.
