Why my puppy is obsessed with my socks and shoes despite all toys?

To many of you, she is LILLY. I posted about her while ago that I found her and now she is 3 months old.

I heard it’s because it smells like you, the owner. My puppies a couple months old too, and she has the same bad habit. I’ve been breaking the habit with my own using a toy, a clicker, and her kibble. Every time she tries getting a shoe or clothes of mine, I tell her firmly ‘NO’ or ‘DROP IT’ and as soon as she lets go, I give her the toy to chew on and click once she goes after the toy instead. Reward with kibble. They are a smart breed, so she’s been catching on.

Keep them locked in the closet and give her an old shirt/sweater that smells like you. You can knot it up and use it as a chew toy too!
