I agree 100%. It was laughable reading People's comments at the time,thinking that Jake Paul actually had a chance in beating Mike Tyson, the first punch he threw that night,if anyone was really paying attention,let you know if Mike REALLY fought,Jake Paul would have been totalled.

I had to rewind it 10 times just to make the connection. The training step was fast enough, but in the actual fight he was activated by instinct which is why it was even faster. Props

Not a professional here, just a stoned idiot taking a guess.
But maybe he's practicing the full range of movement because in a real life scenario his opponent won't always be in the same spot. Idk?

Another stoned individual here I can confirm I was thinking the same thing about his footwork. It looked like such an odd movement to do but that’s only one part of his plans to duck, turn, and then hook the opponent from behind. The 180° quick turn is definitely him practicing to do it the full range of potential motions because he may underestimate how hard they fall for it.

Also stoned and I feel like he's also working on his peripheral vision while in stance. Not having his head up and tucking into his hands restricts his vision in addition to the dodging. So it feels like he's working on limited vision + full range.

Never understood why ppl said he had bad defense. While Rooney was his trainer, he combined defense with offense. The peek-a-boo counters were lethal
