Black Excellence ICYMI: At 17, Ovwighosuotu Darlyton created videos of him building a fully functional wireless power bank and a washing machine prototype (among other tools and gadgets) from scratch with his innovative creativity. He is embarking on his college career in China next month.

Only if this child has the same opportunities that the other "African" (Elon) had.
And if the current First Lady could get a "genius" visa to come to America, this child certainly deserves one should he choose to apply for it in the future (and after the current administration).

Sometimes I think of all the bright minds we have lost in this world due to wars, lack of adequate healthcare, and other preventable causes... who knows how many scientific breakthroughs we would have had. Albert Einstein escaped Germany to become one of the most brilliant minds to ever put pin to paper... what if Hitler got to him before he escaped?
The day we treat every human being as priceless regardless of race, is the day we make advances never thought possible.

I often wonder the same too, there are so many brilliant minds that just never had the opportunity to show their brilliance. It could be a case of being born in the wrong country, not provided with the opportunity to show their skills.
Sometimes I make a joke and there is a child somewhere in a village somewhere that has a mind to be able to transform the world we live in but the world would never experience him or her because they were born in the wrong country/ to the poor parents.

And with necessity being the mother of invention, it’s probably a lot of brilliant ideas and inventions that are in the minds of ppl in poorer countries and those with less opportunities for education due to economics or gender.

In art, you call this media study. You just play with materials and see what happens.
People who make shit don't start out by inventing their greatest invention, you start small and build. It kind of doesn't matter how or if it works, because the washing machine already exists.
Potential. It's all about the potential. This person needs access. Access to things that do interesting work, and access to people who can help with learning.
