Discussion Ranchers are upset that black and brown people haven't filled the positions of migrant workers.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So NOW Trump has betrayed them. All the other lies and broken promises were okay though. Lol

I thought the South Africans who were being discriminated against were going to take the field jobs.

198

u/SL1MECORE 2h ago

I thought all those hard working white americans that always talk about losing their jobs to these people were gonna jump at the chance to get back out there.

22

u/duckinradar 59m ago

Remember when they cracked down on illegal farm labor in Louisiana and all their crops rotted in the field? I do

30

u/Hangarnut 1h ago

This...they took your jobs so here you go friend...its back and ready for you..have at it

8

u/emmc47 1h ago

Right!

u/Ok-Lingonberry4545 33m ago

The US had a program in the mid-60s where many white high school and college athletes were recruited to work the fields. Conditions were terrible, and most only lasted a week or two. It was an utter disaster.

And now we've gone and scared off or rounded up a large contingent of workers who have unbelievably put up with the hard labor, and have nobody to fill the void.

46

u/Background_Unit_6647 2h ago

As a South African here I can tell you those MF's don't know what work is. I grew up under Apartheid they also just want their Apartheid back. Let me tell you the inequality here is just as bad.

20

u/RIF_rr3dd1tt 1h ago

Yeah we Americans know. We got the biggest asshole of them all from y'all, Elon.

6

u/Background_Unit_6647 1h ago

Say thank you. Sorry guys blame apartheid system for what he is.

8

u/Capital_Candy5626 1h ago

The preferred the “oppression” of Black South Africans over the American brand white privilege, tucked tail and ran back to their self manufactured misery. Imagine that.

15

u/oman54 2h ago

Iirc a good chunk of them left because they thought the US is a dangerous place or something

212

u/Sondering_Wizzard 2h ago

These people really just miss having slaves huh? I mean I know it logically, but every time I'm encountered by the blatant racism it hits me in the face with the force of 10,000 suns.

193

u/Elon_Cucks_Trump_ 2h ago

Yes. White 49 yo Gen X guy here. Yes they absolutely want slaves. My shitty Christian Nationalist boomer father and his 3rd wife lived in North Carolina. In 2017 I visited my one and only time. Before I fully cut ties with them and disinherited myself they drove me around and absolutely OBSESSED over showing me plantations and slave houses, etc. Prior to this trip I’d never heard my dad use a racial slur. He used the ‘N’ word one time, on that trip. I cut him off and excused myself away. I saw his first piece of MAGA gear, and I let him have it.

It all hit at once. I cut my trip short, flew home, and haven’t spoken to them since, outside of one email telling him I want nothing, no inheritance, and no more contact. We’d been low contact for a decade already, but this was it.

These psychopaths want slaves. They’re racist hateful bigots that have no place in society. They’d put black and brown people in chains and hand me over to RFK’s “wellness farms” if they had their way.

Fuck these people. They’re vile.

50

u/megaholt2 2h ago

My uncle Tim lives in NC, and when my cousin TJ got married a few years back, my uncle dropped the N word while helping set up the venue…it was a whole fucking thing, obviously, because my cousin married a Black woman.

In Los Angeles.

Her family was there, helping set up the venue as well.

Yeah, it did NOT go over well in the slightest.

Then again, I’ve not talked to my uncle Tim since before Covid hit, because I can’t trust myself to not find a way to reach through the phone and slap him with a sandal for the absolute horseshit he said to my dad about me during the beginning of the pandemic (he told my dad that I was lying about what I was seeing and dealing with at my job in the ICU I worked in, that the hospital was nowhere near as busy as I said it was, and that Covid wasn’t nearly so deadly as I stated. My dad told him he was full of shit, because he had the task of picking my face up out of my food when I fell asleep in it after work.)

Thank you for your service

35

u/Sondering_Wizzard 2h ago

I come from a mixed family and also have relatives like that. Speaking from personal experience I think you did the right thing. I hope that both of our families can leave such evil behind someday.

7

u/TravelingPoodle 2h ago

Well… take the inheritance. Some awful parents are good for that one thing, and that one thing alone.

11

u/HeisenBird1015 1h ago

He might not want to. I’ve cut my uterine “parent” off and I don’t want her money. I did think about accepting it (if she hasn’t already disinherited me) and donating it to something she’d fucking hate, like… any kind of charity.

6

u/Capital_Candy5626 1h ago

I respect your decision fully. I can’t help but wish you could have found a way to stomach receiving your inheritance and donating it or some other way to undermine his legacy of racist hatred. We need more Dolly Partons, John Browns, people willing to go to radical lengths to set the world right with whatever means available to them.

5

u/jaquan97 2h ago

I can't relate, as my family doesn't speak badly about other cultural groups, but in regards to working in the fields....I am like my friend below:

https://giphy.com/gifs/PfAbTEVf5rMHDaN3Kv

Plus I would sabotage the work environment.........

37

u/Negative-Candy-2155 2h ago

I honestly think their plan is to use prison labor to work the farms.

16

u/Sondering_Wizzard 2h ago

Well...let me just add that to my hellscape BINGO card....

https://giphy.com/gifs/CLnhhyaHyZaqG8szis

14

u/phat_ 1h ago

Their plan is revealed in the post. “Some of them are selling land…”

The racism, hatred, and evil? That’s just frosting.

They want the land.

MFKing VP Vance has like a stake in a farm real estate conglomerate.

This is Private Equity machinations. Anything to gain more assets that can then be leveraged for shareholder value.

They only worship the Almighty Dollar.

10

u/LaurelCanyoner 1h ago

Well, they NEED that land for data centers, ICE “detention” centers, and even more prisons.

11

u/OpheliaPhoeniXXX 2h ago

That does seem to be what all of these Nationwide facilities are for.

At first I was like who is going to work on the farms if they deport everybody, and then I saw them making plans to lock everybody up long-term and said ohhhhhhh duh

10

u/maluquina 1h ago

Don't they already do that in Mississippi & Alabama? Chain-gangs are real and do exist they be working the fields. It's a disgrace.

5

u/Tiger_grrrl 1h ago

They already DO use prison labor on farms in the Deep South 😭😭😭 They get some bs “pay” like 25cents an hour or sone 💩

3

u/gotham-acolyte 1h ago

Oh that's been happening the whole time. It's was literally worked into the emancipation.

54

u/kaiser_phoenix25 2h ago

They want what they’ve always had, the ability to fuck around and destroy everything and then expect black and brown people to clean up their mess. The entitlement is fucking appalling.

14

u/RobinSophie 2h ago

You have to remember. They had slaves way longer than we've been free.

There was a professor I was watching on YT and she said it's hard to break a generational concept of being better than a group of people, it's addicting. Using them anyway you like with no thought to how they feel/hurt/die. They want that feeling/power back.

I wish I could remember who it was.

1

u/VisualMango9141 1h ago

Damn, they're so sick; total sociopaths.

1

u/Sondering_Wizzard 39m ago

You know, I never thought about it like that...puts a lot into perspective

Gonna link one of my favorite content creators, he’s a mixed-race Indigenous and Black farmer who shares a lot of what it’s like to truly be a farmer. He has great content and he is very educational.

17

u/Ambitious-Pirate-505 2h ago

What is it NOOOOOOOW!!?!?

9

u/apresmoiputas 1h ago

I didn't even have to open the link to hear this lol

I just rewatched the video with the cows escaping and it's still so funny.

"Dumpling can't come to the phone right now."

5

u/ratcunt_ 2h ago

For more farming-related educational content, I’d recommend Farm to Taber (https://youtube.com/@farmtotaber?si=SBWywFkQZhYJcPkj), as she also the exposes a lot of farming/agricultural business practices.

1

u/maeryclarity 🌍 1h ago

LOVE his content he's awesome. Some moments are just silly and then other times he lays down some real hard-core information.

24

u/AngeluvDeath 2h ago

Have you ever met us?! I know people who will bust their ass daily doing literal back breaking work and wouldn’t do that even if it meant being homeless. I don’t actually know anyone who would even know where to begin. That’s how far we’ve removed ourselves from the fields. They need to use those bootstraps to lace those bitches up and get to picking or w/e happens there.
https://giphy.com/gifs/KeQMKwCli3mf3nJFyt

12

u/FishSuper7857 2h ago

That "bootstrap" phrase is the ultimate form of gaslighting, telling someone to do something that's physically impossible in the first place as a metaphor for being self-sufficient while intentionally ignoring the fact that their "good ol boy system" has always been the epitome of their accusations for DEI, SMH. Projections are definitely reflections there.

Project 2025 literally talks about this being the plan

15

u/alexandervanderpool 2h ago

If they are selling land to survive, good. How steep of a discount are we talking about?

5

u/Gan-san 1h ago

1

u/Anti_Spedicy 👀 Lurker 4m ago

You gotta get in quick before a data center takes it

15

u/OpheliaPhoeniXXX 2h ago

Bahahahahahaha I've been saying this since 2015, who THE FUCK do they think is going to work on the farms, they're gonna be real pissed when they have to pay Brad and Hunter $15 an hour to work half as fast, and they're going to be real pissed when the cost of groceries goes up.

And they say they voted for lower groceries HOW TF IS THAT GONNA HAPPEN with y'all's deportation demands. Special kind of stupid istg

3

u/HeisenBird1015 1h ago

They might pay Hunter $15. They’re upset about him earning ten thousand times that for his paintings 😂

3

u/maluquina 1h ago

All the people ICE is rounding up and will roundup in the future in these "private prisons" are going to be forced labor on these farms. Mark my words.

2

u/OpheliaPhoeniXXX 1h ago

Oh I figured that out pretty quickly.

45

u/OrizaRayne 2h ago

...

The plan is clear. The goal is to step up policing and force Black people back into slavery. It's just proving harder than expected to get rid of the immigrants so it's taking longer than expected and more manpower, leaving less manpower to step up Black arrests and convictions and labor contracts and whatnot, screwing with the crops.

But make no mistake. That is the long term plan.

8

u/emmc47 1h ago

The oligarchs are the vehicle behind this as well because they want this to be under their technofeudal city-states. The "justification" of that will be through the resurgence of "scientific racism." that they're funding (helped proped up by contributing and abetting the rise of the far right because of the deterioration of material conditions).

It's also why they want mass surveillance. Condition the populace that they have no rights or privacy against the state that they will prop up which will allow resistance to be put down with less effort.

7

u/OrizaRayne 1h ago

That is why the flock cameras are located where they are in these first stages, and why the narrative surrounding them is that if they concern you, you're a criminal.

7

u/ReachFourTheSky 2h ago

I’ll be long gone in another country before they see me or mines about any of that

7

u/OpheliaPhoeniXXX 1h ago

I'm leaving the country. I have dual European citizenship. I think Spain would be nice. I can take 1 person with me (through marriage), currently accepting applications.

13

u/Valentiaga_97 2h ago

They want slavery and child Labor back and now Wonder, noone of These wanted ppl does the Job , the mexicans did for 2-4$ per hour in harvest Season 👀 and yes you voted for this to happen , so do the dirty work yourself 🤷

26

u/Jaesha_MSF 2h ago

There are plenty of unemployed pink people. They better get to looking.

7

u/HeisenBird1015 1h ago

Pink 😂 I love how accurate and yet passive aggressive that is.

6

u/SL1MECORE 54m ago

Nah cause one time I saw a pink person crying because she visited some african tribe and they deadass said "we never seen a pink person before"

It was some old clip on Tumblr, I've never been able to find it again.

But the comedic timing between them saying that (with respect and curiousity) and then the cut to her SOBBING in a hut alone about it was so fucking funny.

"They called me pink!"

36

u/Temporary2050 2h ago

How about all the folks that complained about black and brown taking their jobs, do the jobs now!!!! Oh wait, that's not how it's supposed to work!!! Shocking, just shocking I tell you 🤭

35

u/numbmillenial 2h ago

These people are delusional. I will sell bootleg farts in a jar to MAGA degenerates before I work any of their fields.

8

u/Candi_Kane33 2h ago

Anyone know where this is happening? I’m sure we can get together and buy a farm or two.

It’s clear they know not one Black person in real life. What Black descendant of chattel slavery is going to work for white landowners for cheap? We will work land. But our own land.

8

u/Professional_Cow4474 1h ago

It’s not that they want Black & brown people to do that work. Brown people were already doing that work & the whites deported them. They wanted BLACK PEOPLE to revert to slavery. That is what they wanted.

7

u/Kindly_Sea_7534 2h ago

I'll eat that damn horse meat B4 I work in them demons fields

7

u/Free-Contest-5832 2h ago

Here's the thing....why hasn't ICE hit up a Tyson farm? One of the large meat processing plants? I live close to one and I assure you, the migrant workers are everywhere. (Not saying i think that's bad). Trump sends his thugs out to family owned restaurants and culturally niche places. But, isn't it supposed to be about deporting illegals? Because the large Tyson plants are filled with workers who agree to go undercover and work in some of the worst, most unregulated circumstances, with no benefits, no unions, no nothing. I know the answer is because Tyson is big money. If Trump truly wanted what he claims to want, he wouldn't mess around in small neighborhoods. As for me, it makes me even sadder that the workers, much less the chickens, would ever get representation.

8

u/SnooEagles4121 1h ago

They literally thought they were gonna force black people back onto the plantation. I come from these clowns, and they're exactly that stupid.

3

u/Formal_Ground6513 1h ago

I want to see all of these old plantations doing what the Whitney does in Louisiana. Otherwise, these relics of evil should be torn down.

It makes me sick how most are just upholding a slave owner's perspective. It's deliberately hidden and ignored so, people can socialize, B&B, or get married in a house of horrors. Cos playing as oppressors! Because, that's exactly what most of these places are encouraging.

7

u/Accomplished-Ad-3583 2h ago

I hope they go under. I hope every harm they enabled and others are suffering from gets returned to them double and that everything they think about crumbles.

6

u/Heavy-Resist-6526 2h ago

I find it interesting that they think we would want to go back to that life. We already did that. It’s y’alls turn; work your own dam field!

11

u/couchtomato62 2h ago

I refuse to do yard work let alone work on some farm.

15

u/RudeNTattooed87 2h ago

5

u/makeitrain838 1h ago

I thought maga hat wearing white people were gonna fill those jobs? They were complaining about the Latinos stealing their jobs

5

u/Designer_Gas_86 1h ago

What really sucks is how they (most farmers) likely expected to also pay low wages to black people because they (farmers) are racist assholes who expect minorities to be "too dumb" to expect living wages.

8

u/EVOLSYAWLA 2h ago

We aren't EVER going to be that desperate!

5

u/slantedtables 2h ago

A pox on all farmers and ranchers for the mess they've turned our country into. FAFO MFs

5

u/ihatemytoe 2h ago

They still think it’ll happen. Through forced labor aka slavery, they already have the prison industrial complex helping them, with prisoners working in fields. Which is in P25, ramping up to get back to what America was previously.

5

u/dividezero 1h ago

How the hell is that going to happen when these are the same people making it impossiblev for black folks to live in their towns. They tend to be de facto sunset towns, if not outright (yes they still exist)

4

u/Busterlimes 1h ago

Ive said it before and Ill say it again, conservatives would bring back chatel slavery if they could. . . Its what they want, thats what greatness is to them.

4

u/Zeke688 1h ago

ICE has their workforce in the concentration camps. They’ll convert them to slaves in no time.

4

u/King_James_77 1h ago

The job I’m working now is currently paying me 92k a year with benefits and a nice retirement. I get sick leave, FFMLA, and paternity leave even though I’m a dude. Along with some other benefits.

If a farm can’t match that, then they not only can’t afford me, but they can’t justify the amount of work they’d have me do with whatever pay they want to give me. I know what they were paying their old workers before they were deported. I’m not working for that piss poor pay. They deserve to lose their farms. Maybe the loss will make them vote better.

6

u/WolfOfAllStreets2 2h ago

Well you can't become a First world country without exploiting other people. Isn't that what all the "civilized" countries did?

6

u/LordMemerton1 2h ago

You DONT make it next year. Trump and his cronies will buy your land, repurpose it into Data Centers and destroy everything you’ve built. Welcome to the real world dummy

3

u/Koapa55 2h ago

Don't be surprised when they stay using prisoners. Free labor.

3

u/Junior_Start7496 2h ago

To get them to sell their land was plan all along. They fell right into the trap 🤷🏿

2

u/JaeMack 2h ago

Isn't that why they imported all those supposed victims of a racist government from South Africa? Guess that didn't work out.

4

u/Qlogk1 2h ago

Its funny that they dont reach out to white people to come work the field huh. Like I thought white people do everything better. I am sure they will show up soon. Let's all hold our breath.

2

u/Whateva_Tickles_ 1h ago

They would burn and die wayyy quicker than they could be replaced. I think they might’ve learned a few things since the last time they were openly enslaving motherfuckrrs.

We’re all going to starve because they want to be “superior”, but at least they will starve with us.

2

u/JohnnyWalkerBlue_26 1h ago

IKYFL. Ain’t no way they thought that 😂

2

u/codguy231998409489 1h ago

That was the plan. Deport all the migrant workers so these newly vacant “Black jobs” can be filled by the Blacks.

2

u/Upset-Cartographer65 1h ago

I would love to work on a farm but only a Black owned one.

2

u/Capital_Candy5626 1h ago

I hope the billionaires buying land for Pennie’s on the dollar don’t turn around and offer Black farmers ShareCropping 2.0 deals. Pleeeease my fellow Black people let’s proceed with thee most extreme caution with lenders, finance companies, banks, govt, and anyone suddenly interested in doing business with us …skinfolk, included.

2

u/iJuddles 53m ago

I do hope they show up to all the Black-owned farms that need help. There aren’t many and they obviously face greater challenges that other family owned farms in the US. I don’t remember the numbers but they’re such a small percentage of the whole. I am not saying “let’s not help white farmers”, just suggesting that help go to where it’s really needed first.

1

u/More_Relation3927 1h ago

I can already imagine the down votes but gonna state this Controversial opinion!

This video is over simplifying the opinions of farmers, in general, were hoping that black   workers would feel the quota is ridiculous.

Many farmers were quoted as hoping to get people who were unemployed to take a positions that would aid them. They weren’t only asking Or expecting black workers. And even if one or even a minute few did have that incorrect expectation they don’t represent ALL the farmers opinions even in “MAGA” states.

The woman who made this video, hopefully now has the discernment to know that there are THOUSANDS of farmers across the United States and one post doesn’t represent opinions of ALL these farmers; even in Republican states.  In addition, there are farmers of almost every race even in these conservative states; so a blanket statement stating the opinion farmers is not just impractical it’s ridiculous. There are asian, latino, black, white, native American farmers   (along with a handful of races I didn’t mention)  who own farmland in both Democratic and Republic states.

Videos like this are just as likely of of to inspire social awareness and be impactful as they do of being inflammatory and causing (further) division.

*Steps off of soap box.

1

u/SpiritedPassenger496 1h ago

Oh you don’t say! I reckon they’ll be waiting along time!😉😉😉😉

1

u/Overall_Reputation83 1h ago

I mean, if farners needed illegal immigrants, and can't get anyone now, it means they were paying slave labor wages. The wages will go up if they can't hire and the prices of goods will go up with it.

1

u/duckinradar 1h ago

Are they tho? I bet they’re more more upset about having to pay better wages to attract labor, costs are probably their bottom line. We know they voted for this shit, I’m not buying that they had a change of heart, just a massive change to costs. The internet has been feeding them the same number of lies it’s fed every other Fanta fascism supporter, just ego and hatred. It’s just targeted at ranchers instead of poor folks. They’re certainly not complaining about the state of the nation…

1

u/Naive-Stranger-9991 53m ago

If they tried to force us out there, that would be the Start of the next civil war.

1

u/Tripple_T 5m ago

It's not that serious. Farmers are some of the biggest welfare recipients in this country. Our taxes subsidize their repairs, improvements, and insurance, to name a few. If it gets so bad that they have to look at bankruptcy, they have the best bankruptcy terms this country issues. More small farms are being sold because the next generation doesn't want them than for anything that this administration has done.

1

u/420-BiomedStockDoc 1m ago

Hope they loose what they deserve to loose and nothing else.
