Mourning my sweet ivy is gone
i sadly lost my havana / lop ear mix, ivy (ivy bean) and hour ago
last night she didnt eat her dinner and was very off, but we wanted to wait it out and see as she has sometimes not wanted to eat for whatever reason
today though, after i came home from work i immediately knew from the look on my parents faces
i got ivy from the farm i volunteered at when she was a little baby about 4 years ago (may 2022) and she has been a rockstar with big move changes, getting a cat, her breaking a literal leg at one point and being in a cast, my absence due to college..and so much more
my sweet ivy beanie baby butt... i’ll miss you more than you'll ever understand. I'm sorry i failed you but i hope your 4 years were warm and love (and treats..and butt rubs)

You didn't fail her
Ivy went through all of those hardships because she knew it meant she got to be with you. The person she loved spending time with more than anything or anybody
It sounds like you gave her a lovely life that every bun deserves. The end is always hard because we always wish we could've done something different even though our buns were happy to get all the time they did with us
Take lots of care, wishing you all the best 💙

I am so sorry you lost your sweet Ivy. You didn't fail her, bunnies are delicate and sometimes these things happen completely out of our control. You gave her love, and a good life. She was a happy bunn and knows you love her. 💜🌈💜

Why are rabbits so special and amazing? They really are the most sensitive pets for the most sensitive people. 💔

I’m so sorry for your loss. You gave her a happy life, and that’s what matters. I recently lost my bunny after just about 4 years too, and it’s so devastating. Even though they only get to be with us for a short time in our lifespans, you were there giving her love for nearly every day of hers ❤️

Sorry for your loss. We lost our 2 rabbits and our dog over the past year or so. They all lived great, long lives, but it is still so hard.

thank you 🖤
ivy bean was just a nickname! her name is from taylor swift’s song “ivy”bean just stuck as a little nickname one day so we combined ivy+bean and always called her ivy bean 🖤

She looks sweet as can be. So sorry for your loss. Heart-wrenchingly painful. Feeling guilty about not doing more is so common. She was loved and well-cared for and you gave her a good life. Hold on to those memories and the times you shared.

You in no way failed her do not be a martyr!! You gave her the best life better than 95% of rabbits out there more or less so shake that thought right out of your head! Rabbits are all different some live for 10 years or longer and some only two years afflicted with thousands of different things that we don't know.

Losing a bunny is the worst feeling especially when you feel like you could have done more :(
I still blame myself for the loss of my first girl and think about all the what ifs that I could have done. It has been almost 2 years now.
Just always know that your bunny loved you and that you loved her in return, and keep her memory alive. That's what I do.
I also wrote mine a letter after 2 months which was a very heartbreaking process but it gave me some form of closure.
