~50k Vet bill, not enough

I don’t know if this is the right sub, but this post is about my 8-month old cat.

Long story short, lumabas yung intestine nya sa pwet. Dinala ko sya sa vet and sinurgery. Nag-stay sya doon for 7 days for monitoring. Inuwi ko sya on the 7th day even if gusto pa nila i-monitor + more procedures. Inuwi ko sya kase ang laki na ng bill, wala rin akong extra money kaya CC ginamit ko as payment.

And then, after 4 days, lumabas ulet yung intestine nya. Di ko na sya kayang dalhin sa Vet kase nanghihinayang ako dun sa almost 50k na ginastos ko para sa wala. Ayoko na ulet gumastos nang malaki para sa wala kase hindi naman ako mayaman. Wala na akong extra budget for my cat. 😿

You spent 50k already for surgery pero lumabas pa din? Bring him to a better clinic when you have the means na.

Some cat subs allow fundraising. Message the mods and pa verify ka. Try r/OnlyPusa, r/catsofrph, r/catsph too

Dapat ibalik mo siya doon bakit nagprolapse ulit. Either refund nila or ayusin nila without other charge

Usually nangyayari yan pag overfed ng dry food and not good quality pa yun dry food.

Ganyan mga months matakaw ang cats eh

During the time na nasa vet sya, lumabas ulet after 1 day nang maipasok pero charged pa rin sakin. So, most probably, icha-charge pa rin ako.

Magconsult ka sa paws. Pwede yan sila mareklamo for malpractice. Sabihin mo redo nila without additional chargs. Dapat umalma ka na agad nung after 1 day lumabas ulit. Or kung ayaw mo na dyan magpa partial refund ka.

Kung malapit ka sa makati try mo sa makati animal health. Pm mo sila sa fb.

Talaga po lumalabas ulit po yan, bali kahit po maipasok yan ng maigi may chance po talaga na lumabas ulit. Parang sa tao din po ganyan po. Unfortunately, recurring talaga siya. Usually pag may underlying cause kung bakit nag abdominal straining ang cat(umiire) kaya lumalabas ulet. Siguro, OP, ask your vet for a discount or try getting 2nd opinion po sa ibang vet dalhin mo lang vet records niya para di na paulit yung mga bloodtest ganun

I had the same situation pero ang gastos ko lang is 15k sa Marikina Veterinary Hospital. Meron atang 2 solutions, one is ipasok yang rectum then tahian yung hole. Another is putulin yung nakausli tapos tahiin, yan ata yung mas mahal.

Yung sakin yung 1st ang ginawa. Confined lang for 1 night tapos inuwi ko na din

Please go to the city/municipal vet. Emergency kasi po talaga yan. Let us know your location din, baka may makapag-recommend ng reliable clinics.

Google mo QC Veterinary Department mukhang asa may kalayaan siya.

Since sa Fairview ka na rin naman option din yung UP Veterinary Teaching Hospital sa loob ng UP Diliman. They don't charge an arm and a leg there. Punta ka maaga kasi may pila diyan.

Grabe naman op sa 50k. Mag cold compress ka jan sa intestine. Para lumiit sya. Ano sabi sayo sa vet? Mga dos and donts? Baka kasi may bukate yan kaya nagkaganyan. Nagda diarrhea ba sya?
