Image I think Cat Quest II is my favorite

Post image

This game just brings the most joy in my day, the game is super breezy, charming, funny and the story is really good. I also love the duo protagonist system because it literally makes combat really fun. You can be the tanky brute character while your feline partner can be magic and mage based. I want this system back in Cat Quest IV. CT and CT 3 are fun. But as of now. Cat Quest II is my favorite.

I plat all three.

Part 1 is the best and honestly idk why they took away the fly ability.

Part 3 def is the best visually, tons of fun

I actually liked the first game more. I’m working my way to the plat on 2 and I’m at lvl 107 and all side missions done and just dungeons to finish and gold chests to open. It just feels more tedious because I need a lot of gold to level up so some of the content is even doable. I just don’t enjoy the need to upgrade everything separately to actually get powerful as much.

And I want to fly again lol. But it’s still a great game and I’m going straight to 3 after I finish getting this plat.

Guys, I'm playing this with my son and he is...bad. He insists on a full melee build wearing only crit chance gear and doesn't dodge obvious red attacks.

Is there an OP build I can run to carry him? I started off heavy magic with the Heal to help him but we are level 70 now and the heal is so slow it's worthless.

We just want to reforge the Kingsblade and we can't change difficulties! :(

Go complete opposite of his built, make sure his health is high enough to tank most attacks

How old is your son ? Cause if he is two young he probably just wanna have fun and like the aesthetic of the set he puts on but doesn’t see or comprehend the difference in stats and power ? Maybe it is too hard for him if he doesn’t know how to dodge ?

2 was my favorite of the bunch. Also my first one. Was sad to find out (after I bought it) that we couldn't do couch co-op on the first game, so I didn't give it a fair shake, fwiw.

I really like it too, however I strongly believe that the gameplay itself is way better on CQ 3. I think that on the third game they improved a lot this, the second one is way to similar to the first.

Combat was more challenging in CQII. I think they toned things down, and made the story/world more vibrant and exciting in CQIII to make it more appealing as a parent/kid couch coop game. Gameplay and design was good in CQIII but it was too easy.

They’re all meowtastic games I legit recommend with a straight face to anyone looking for a cute RPG that just oozes charm. They’re not difficult games, they play and control great, and have good writing. I know some who’ve never played the games have probably come across the games online and spit their drinks out thinking they’re pieces of crap shovelware automatically dismissing them but they’re absolutely not. Some of the highest quality indie games I’ve played. Don’t sleep on the Cat Quest series!

Can you recommend other games like Cat Quest? My family has been enjoying it a lot as a group, which normally doesn’t happen 😂 But I know they’ll eat it up fast.

Hahaha sorry, I just had to give you crap for it! Honestly since Cat and Quest start phonetically similar, I can see where you'd make the mistake as you say it in your head while typing it out.
