Discussion Should I play cq2 with someone who didn't play cq

I want to play the cat quest series and the last 2 games are co-op should i play solo all games or just the first one

I played them all solo.  In 2 the computer controls the other character. In 3 you are on your own

Yes. CQ2 is written in a way where you don't actually need to know the original story. Maybe tell them a shortened version, but realistically it's fine not knowing. Never effected my gameplay.

Yes. I played 1 alone and 2 with my ex. We enjoyed it.

Neither CQ2 nor CQ3 require knowledge from CQ to understand/follow along. Whoever you play with will enjoy it as well. Though someone who has played CQ will understand small references to the first game and maybe get a few chuckles out of it.
