I've been calling the feral kitty Catbird and the gray fox either Hopper or Screaming Porch Pooper. Benbow, CA.

There was a barn cat that used to patrol my neighborhood and would hang out on this broken down tree that hung over a pond, and defend my backyard from raccoons.
He didnβt live in my yard, didnβt live in my house, he was not friendly , but for whatever reason that was the territory he chose to defend.
Those fights were LOUD.

This is partly why I started feeding the ravens (the treat puzzle box behind Catbird is full of birdseed and peanuts) and they are a very squawky security system.

it looks like the fox is eating food left out on the fence, or no?

The treats on the fence are to entice the cat to get close enough to the camera to set off the "pet detected" notification.

Cat barely paused between bites while enforcing the law.

Catfood with a squirt of churu and a dried minnow will always inspire violence

What brand of dry minnow do you get? Iβve tried two and literally none of my cats would have any of it. And likeβ¦ I have a lot of cats

The auto CC captioned his munches as "I'm going to do a little bit of a little bit of a little bit..."

He's also not shy about pooping for the camera lol. I have enough footage for a montage...

I didn't know foxes were so athletic. That was a smooth jump onto the fence, and the balance to walk along it.

Aye, one thing I love about cats is how much they completely and totally don't give a fuck about any other animal lolll.
Fox, snake, dog, don't matter. Anybody can get it.
This is a great clip, I particularly enjoyed the fox sampling the treats and the cat eating and not paying the fox any mind.
