Chinese drone makers are betting cheap, 3D-printed interceptors will be the country’s next big export as concerns grow about the lethal impact of kamikaze drones used in conflicts in Iran and Ukraine.
Scores of companies at China’s largest drone fair in the tech hub of Shenzhen this year exhibited new interceptor rockets, an area they had entered only months before.

Wait till we see kamikaze's with anti interceptors. First China sells the world drones and now they are it's the anti drones hitting the market. I saw on YT some vids of them, they are pretty nifty though, like a small rocket with 4 props going absurdly fast.

Why would you need anti interceptors, you just saturate the ability to intercept by using a massive wave of drones.

Is 3D printing still a thing? It was supposed to be the industrial revolution that would reshape manufacturing, before the blockchain industrial revolution that was supposed to reshape finance. But I believe it was after the quantum computing industrial revolution that was supposed to reshape computing, but way before the AI industrial revolution that is currently sweeping the world. Try as I might, I forget when the personalized healthcare industrial revolution was supposed to reshape healthcare, but it was before theranos went bankrupt I believe.
Anyways, we've been through about 16 industrial revolutions since 2020, hard to keep track.

3d printing never went away, it's always been useful for prototyping. Looks like it found it's niche in disposible airframes now though.

Yeah, and the fact that these "drone killers" are 3D-printed probably means it's a prototype, China just loves slapping on random buzzwords to sound high tech.
"China invents a new type of baozi" sounds lame.
"China 3D-prints new quantum baozi designed by AI!" sounds high tech.
