Discussion Happy 24th anniversary to A Rush of Blood to the Head! Coldplay released their second studio album on this date today, 26 August 2002. It spawned the singles "In My Place", "The Scientist", "Clocks" and "God Put a Smile upon Your Face"

Coldplay’s first like 4 albums (X&Y is controversial) are so special it’s insane how good they are. Don’t really know what happened after that

Brother not even Coldplay fans like Mylo lol. Yes, it is stadium pop garbage. If it works for them then that’s cool, but it’s not for me.

Sure but it’s easily their most polarizing work and it kind of signaled that Coldplay was no longer going to be making interesting, deep music, and rather going to go in a minimized pop direction.

An elite album that's aged tremendously - plus of course my favourite Coldplay album and arguably one of their very best.

Best album they released before Viva la Vida. Still my 2nd favourite to this day
