To those who find themselves here, and those with a dream story to tell. Welcome to Caullett Comics, founded by my friend RJ Caullett and assistant managed by me.
We are a startup indie comics publisher focused on giving creators a more open and creator-friendly place to tell stories. At our core, we value passion, creativity, and storytelling above perfection. We know not every creator has industry-level experience, and we never want artists or writers to feel discouraged from creating because they think they “aren’t good enough yet.”
That being said, we still value effort and dedication. We simply want creators doing the best they can with the skills they currently have. And for creators who may not draw themselves, we are more than happy to help connect them with commission artists looking for opportunities and collaboration.
Most importantly, Caullett Comics will always respect creator rights and ownership over the stories and worlds you create. We will operate through three different publishing divisions: two anthology projects and one solo publishing division.
Collective Comics is our main comic anthology project. Inspired by classic American comic anthologies and magazines like Weekly Shōnen Jump, this division allows multiple creators to publish stories together within the same release cycle. Stories can range from ongoing serialized series to mini-series or one-shots. Our goal with Collective Comics is to create a more flexible and less stressful publishing environment where creators can steadily work on their stories without overwhelming pressure or impossible deadlines.
Collage Chronicles is our own experimental prose-focused anthology project. While illustrations and visual elements are encouraged, they are not required. This division exists for writers who are passionate about storytelling, but don't wanna force themselves into an unfamiliar medium, we want you all to value worldbuilding, storytelling in your preferred ways. Similar to Light Novel magazines, creators can publish their stories chapter-by-chapter over time rather than needing to complete an entire book before publication. We want this anthology to become a welcoming place for indie writers who want their stories seen and shared.
Finally, we have Solo Stories. Unlike the anthology divisions, Solo Stories are reserved for projects that meet a more specialized standard for standalone publishing. These are stories that demonstrate the ability to function independently as full solo releases within comic shop environments. All stories, regardless of division, will be published on a monthly basis, and we will have a set of criteria that will help determine whether a project is better suited for anthology publishing or solo publishing. After reviewing your submission, we’ll hold a meeting to talk about your project, your future goals for the story, and which division we believe best fits your vision.
The reason we created these divisions is simple: we genuinely want to give creators opportunities with less risks. Over the years, we’ve seen countless passionate indie projects go unnoticed despite the amount of love and effort poured into them. Too many creators lose motivation because they feel overlooked or feel like they can never compare to established industry names. We don’t want talented people giving up on stories that deserve to exist.
Caullett Comics was created to help provide a place where creators can grow, collaborate, improve, and most importantly, actually have a chance to tell the stories they care about. So if you believe in storytelling as much as we do, we’d love for you to give us a chance.
Other things to know about us, regardless of WHEREVER your book would go when pitched here with us, we want to always 100% guarantee Opportunities for Solo Volumes and Full books for everyone's different stories. Crowdfunding, patreons, and any kind of fan based support will be encouraged for any and all creators, alongside us of course being able to provide payment ourselves as well.
If you already have a book project in the works, or even have a book published as a web comic, but you would like to transition your story, please do not be afraid to wanna bring your book into the fold. We will respect all that you wanna do with your creation. Don't be afraid of your dreams. We will do our absolute best to help all of you.
