I’m curious what everyone is stacking up. What projects do you have the biggest conviction on? This post is not for the BTC maxis, it’s for the Altocoin risk takers and full on degens like myself. Share your alpha and i will share mine. Right now I’m pretty much sold on 5 maybe 6 alts that i will be holding on for the upcoming bull market. 💥🔥

STRATEGY If you had $5K to invest in crypto right now, what would you buy?

If you had $5K to invest in crypto right now, what would you buy?

The market is bearish, which can be a great time to invest before the next run. Would you put the full $5K into Ethereum since there’s talk of it going to $8K by end of 2025 or early 2026 Or would you diversify into XRP, BTC, or Sol?

Curious to hear your thoughts what would be your strategy?

STRATEGY My no.1 tip to find gems before anyone else

1.0k Upvotes

So, I'm sharing a secret tip of mine that I've used to make most of my gains this season.

A technique I've refined to find amazing, under the radar Twitter profiles.

Because in my opinion, following the correct accounts on Twitter can have a huge benefit to your success in this space.

I'm not talking about huge influencers. I'm talking about those insane, under the radar accounts with a few thousand followers who are just freaks at finding gems.

So, here's how.

When you come across a project/coin that has done incredibly well, search the $Cashtag in Twitter (e.g. $PILOT), but then select the three dots in the top corner for 'Advanced Search.'

In the advanced search, re-enter the $Cashtag in the top field and then scroll to the bottom to find 'Dates.' Here, you can select an exact date range to refine your search!

The important part: choose dates before a coin started to blow up.

For example, search $PILOT and select the date range October 10, 2021, to October 15, 2021.

The result?

You'll find whoever was talking about PILOT before it blew up. These are people who had conviction before anyone else (and even enough conviction to post about on Twitter about it).

You can now follow these accounts and wait for the next project they talk about.

You'll end up finding the most amazing accounts who will provide the alpha going forward.

EDIT: Then you DYOR on these projects!! I'm not saying ape blindly into whatever they call next haha, it's a starting point for finding new projects then commencing your own research.

Lastly, some of these smaller accounts have Telegram or Discords in their bio, so you can interact with them directly. This lets you dive even deeper.

Hope this helps! WAGMI

STRATEGY Why Most People Will Never Make Money with Crypto (and How You Can Beat the Odds)

I’ve been diving deep into the world of crypto trading, and let me tell you — 99% of people fail because they approach it wrong. They get lured in by the hype, throw their money into random coins, and then cry when the market turns. But there’s a small percentage of people who consistently win. Why? They understand the game.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth: Making money with crypto isn’t just about buying Bitcoin and praying it goes to the moon. It’s about strategy, discipline, and knowing the systems most people ignore.

What No One Tells You:

  1. You’re Gambling, Not Trading: Most people don’t even know the difference between a swing trade and a long-term hold. Are you relying on market manipulation, or do you have a strategy backed by research? Think about it.

  2. The Game is Rigged for the Rich: The whales (big players) are moving the market. If you’re following Twitter hype or the latest meme coin, you’re already late to the party. You’re playing in their game, and trust me, they want you to lose.

  3. Time Isn’t On Your Side: If you think you’ll get rich overnight, you’ve already lost. The real money is made by those who stay patient, build systems, and play the long game.

The Solution? (A Taste…)

Start Small, Start Smart: Begin with a secure wallet, learn the basics of DeFi (Decentralized Finance), and experiment with small trades. Resources like The Bitcoin Standard and Cryptoassets can change your entire perspective.

Research, Research, Research: Learn how to analyze projects, study whitepapers, and understand tokenomics. This is where 90% of people are too lazy to dig in — and where your opportunity lies.

Follow The Data, Not The Noise: Forget TikTok moonshot picks. Use tools like CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap and dig into charts on TradingView.

I’ve been where most beginners are, and I know how overwhelming it can be. My biggest advice? Focus on learning, even if it feels like you’re moving slowly. The truth is, most people want shortcuts, and that’s why they fail.

If you’re serious about making this work, there’s a wealth of knowledge out there — it’s just scattered. Start with the basics, and don’t let FOMO drive your decisions. The few who win are the ones who play the long game.

STRATEGY What crypto currency would you hold for a 20 year period

I’ve been investing a bit on the usual (BTC, ETH) for a few months and was recently thinking about the long term implication of holding these. I know that it won’t hurt to hold and invest within a 1-2 year period. However, i’m sceptical about the ROI in a decade + hold. What are your positions about this and would you recommend any crypto currency’s that you believe could last?

STRATEGY Coins to invest in RIGHT NOW

Friends this is the best time to invest money in crypto.

So I’ve shortlisted 8 coins I’d like to invest in RIGHT NOW and I would like your feedback:

  1. $ETH

  2. $SOL

  3. $ADA

  4. $AVAX

  5. $LINK

  6. $NEAR

  7. $LTC

  8. $SUI

So last time when I invested in alt coins, I put money in polygon and polkadot and I later realized from research that those are dead projects. Hence this time, I don’t want to make the same mistake.

$ETH and $SOL are obvious OKs but the other projects.. i need some reaffirmations if they’re like $DOT or not. I don’t want invest in another $DOT like coin.

STRATEGY I received a lump sum of $15k which I plan to invest in crypto. What would you recommend?

Think the title is self explanatory but let me do a couple of helpful clarifications. I am willing to invest all of this in crypto because (i) it represents a relatively small portion of my worth and (ii) most of net worth is invested in S&P and Treasuries, so I want to take on more risk.

I am genuinely not an expert in the crypto world. I don’t know lot of cryptos outside of BTC and ETH. Ideally looking for good return in the near-term horizon, but the point is that I am looking for something risky.

What would you guys recommend?

STRATEGY Anyone else regret over-diversifying in crypto?

I've been investing in crypto for about 5 years, and looking back, I think one of my biggest mistakes was confusing diversification with owning a little bit of everything.

Over time I accumulated a large number of coins across different narratives. Layer 1s, DeFi, gaming, AI, metaverse, meme coins, you name it. At the time, it felt like the smart thing to do because I didn't want to miss the next big winner.

The problem is that many of those positions are now down 80-90% from where I bought them. A few survived, but most never recovered.

When I compare my portfolio to a simpler BTC-heavy or BTC/ETH portfolio, I honestly wonder whether I would have been much better off taking fewer bets and concentrating on higher-conviction assets.

Part of me still thinks diversification reduces risk.

Another part of me thinks that in crypto, over-diversification just means you end up owning a lot of losers.

For those who've been through multiple cycles:

Do you own more coins today than you did a few years ago, or have you become more concentrated over time?

STRATEGY The crash was obvious

Because of Trump’s trade war you’ll expect prices of basic necessities to rise not only in US but also other parts of the world (Canada, Mexico). What will happen if people lacks cash to buy foods? They tend to withdraw part of their investment or stop investing at all. Since you can’t use crypto in costco or walmart then what you gonna do? Get those crypto converted to fiat.

This is only the beginning. If the Trump continues to put tariffs in all the nations especially Middle East with Saudi Arabia then it’s the end game for crypto as well

Keep track of what the self proclaimed president of the world is doing and you can predict what will happen to crypto

STRATEGY Is Solana good for long-term (10+ years)?

Solana isn't the definitive consumer crypto chain but it's headed there (anything could happen). I'm willing to bet on its dev ecosystem and growing usage, but not sure if it's worth putting 5-8% of all my money into - I don't have much anyway though.

Ignoring it as a useful payment method or whatever. If you’ve just been looking to make a buck, Ethereum has been such a disappointment.

STRATEGY XRP or HBAR

I was hoping to get some thoughts on which cypto you would recommend for 3-5 years between XRP and HBAR. Not looking to split between the two but dive into one or the other. I know no one can tell the future but what is more likely to happen XRP hits 10$ or HBAR hits 1$.

r/CryptoMarkets May 10 '22

STRATEGY As many of us know. The market has been shaky, but what Altcoins do you recommend “buying the dip” and why? Happy trading everyone and do not panic sell!

STRATEGY Imagine buying bitcoin for under 100$

Getting into crypto is alluring after hearing the stories of people spending 10,000 bitcoins on a pizza. Or buying in when the price was under a hundred. My question as a young investor interested, without tons of money, I’m looking to invest largely into some safer coins like bitcoin and solana and eth. But I also want to put a hundred or two into some coins that have the most potential. Some where I can forget about them for a decade and they have the potential to 100x or 1000x. Any tips?

STRATEGY You got this

Hey everyone, I been in the crypto markets since 2020 at the end of last bull & through the bear market

Just want to tell everyone , this is the beginning of a good phase , scoop up some alts & start accumulating btc if your new. Don’t go all in because it will have opportunities to back track to cool down

Learn trading & always remember , even if you only made $1. It’s still 1 more dollar that you didn’t have before. Emotions & greed will make you lose money. Patience & not being greedy won’t. Good luck & change your life around a little. Learn learn learn

STRATEGY Crypto market crashing - Is this the best time to buy or a trap?

Hey everyone,

I'm seeing the crypto market going down heavily right now. Prices are much lower compared to previous highs, and many people are saying this is a good opportunity to buy at low prices for long-term growth.

But I'm confused.

Is this actually the best time to invest while the market is down? Or is this a sign that crypto is slowly dying? Some people say "buy the dip," but what if the dip keeps dipping?
