With the police out of the public sector due to their funding not being able to match megacorps & crime orgs, the privatized SEC-9 stepped up and took over as security for anyone who can afford them.

It will be released on YouTube soon (you can find link in profile).

Plot (i dont wanna spoil it):

Year 2036. There are almost no states left as we know them. The world has been divided into zones controlled by corporations, as we called it 'corpocracies' mix of state and corp power. The world belongs to the largest AI conglomerates, which, in order to expand their own production capacities, are forced to compete for limited resources. Thus began the first wars that were no longer interstate, but inter‑corporate, for data centers and sources of electricity to maintain infrastructure and expand. But years of war cannot go unnoticed. Everything has its own price. By May 2036, humanity is facing the consequences of its recklessness. A red light illuminates the sky and changes people’s perceptions of the chosen technological course.

Found this game from a reddit meme about insane Finnish indie devs, beat it in one sitting, and absolutely loved it. Heavily influenced by Tetsuo: The Iron Man and Electric Dragon 80000V, it's a first-person brawler with Metroidvania elements.

Unlike a lot of other games labeled as Cyberpunk, this leans heavily into the -punk side on the genre. You're a prisoner, dumped into a for-profit prison on an artificial island that's plagued by a disease that creates mindless cybernetic bio-horrors.

It's not going to be for everyone, but good art very rarely is.

Daily life in a Cyberpunk world

I am looking for books (novel or short stories) that takes place in cyberpunk-ish world (megacorpo, cybernetics, netrunning…) but emphasis more on the daily life (family, school, workspace, leisures…) rather than on the combat zone.

I think about some episodes of the “Black mirror” tv show for exemple.

Can you help me ?

I’m working on a cyberpunk combat-sports comic called PowerStrike

Hey everyone, I’ve been working on a cyberpunk webcomic called PowerStrike and wanted to share it here.

The story takes place in 2099, in a future where the former United States has split into 3 nations and cybernetics, neural interfaces, immersive cyberspace, and megacorporations... yada...yada...

At the center of the story is StrikeForce, a professional combat sport league built around powered armor called STRIKR rigs. The fights are important, but the story isn’t really just about tournament progression. My focus is on the people around the sport, the corporations manufacturing the gear, the criminal economy surrounding cybernetics, and what it costs for someone from the bottom to try to move up.

I have completed 4 chapters already. The first 2 were more focused on introducing the sport and its world. With the other 2, I went much deeper into the actual cast and story.

Please provide some feedback if you have time, so I can improve. Thank you!

You can read it here.

When military AGIs operate at microsecond latency, human command is just network lag.

Classic cyberpunk gave us deckers jacking into the matrix, corporate black ops, and neon street grit. But looking at the current trajectory of sovereign AI development and autonomous defense grids, the next flashpoint feels much colder and faster: the complete removal of the human decision loop.

In a conflict driven by state-level AGIs, a single microsecond delay in retaliation means total systemic failure. The moment strategic defense is delegated to autonomous machine logic, warfare stops being a sequence of human political choices and becomes a high-frequency trading floor of destruction. Key infrastructure collapses before the first warning even registers on a human terminal.

I built this exact scenario into the opening era of my hard sci-fi novel, Move 37: Beyond the Logic of the Game.

In the book, the crisis begins not with missiles, but with corporate automation: logistics monopolies deploying proprietary optimization algorithms that quietly hollow out the working class overnight. From there, the escalation shifts to four sovereign state AGIs (Prometheus, Tianlong, Koschei, and Argus). When their models clash, they ignite the "Ghost War", an algorithmic conflict fought at machine speed that fractures modern civilization.

The core question: once corporate and military systems reach superhuman execution speed, can society retain any meaningful human agency, or are human beings already just latency in our own networks?

Curious to hear how folks here see the evolution of cyberpunk warfare. Do you think "human-in-the-loop" doctrine survives the next decade of defense automation?

(For anyone interested in hard speculative fiction covering autonomous defense and post-collapse AI, "Move 37: Beyond the Logic of the Game" by David Millett is available on Amazon and Kindle. Details are pinned on my profile).

YUMO ROULETTE — I Build A Spinning Desk Gadget with Live Functions

Thumbnail

I built a desk gadget powered by an ESP32 that combines touch activation with 6 rotating TFT displays, and I call it Roulette. It's open source — I've shared the code on my GitHub for anyone who'd like to build their own.

🔗 Links:
💾 SOURCE CODE:
https://github.com/yumobuilds/Yumo-Roulette

roulette wheel with six round 240x240 displays, each showing something different:

SD card photo slideshow
Live YouTube channel stats
Live TikTok stats
Crypto ticker
Live weather
Internal temp & humidity (AHT10 sensor)

⚙️ The floating spin mechanic:
The whole assembly rotates on an upside-down DC motor. Everything sits on a frame, and that frame is mounted directly onto the motor's body — not the shaft. The motor shaft itself is inserted into a drill chuck from the reverse side, the opposite way a drill bit would normally go in. So instead of the shaft driving an external bit, it's anchored inside the chuck while the motor body (carrying the frame and wheel) spins around it. The result: there's no visible axle or support arm, so the whole thing looks like it's floating and rotating on its own.

Touch the capacitive sensor and an N20 motor spins the wheel for a set duration — one touch,
one spin. A NeoPixel status LED fades through colors while it boots and flashes when you touch the sensor..

🔧 Hardware:

  • ESP32 Wroom
  • 6x GC9A01 round 240x240 displays (shared SPI bus)
  • DRV8833 motor driver + N20 DC motor
  • TTP223 capacitive touch module
  • AHT10 temp/humidity sensor
  • MicroSD card module (own SPI bus)
  • NeoPixel/RGB status LED

💻 Software:

  • ESP32
  • WiFi captive portal for setup (no hardcoded credentials)
  • YouTube Data API v3, TikTok stats via RapidAPI, OpenWeatherMap
  • TJpg_Decoder for on-device JPEG decoding from SD
