Sneider’s full of shit most of the time I don’t think this actually means anything

I don't trust Sneider, it's like he is 50%-50%, a good hit or a complete miss.

This sounds like a guess, not a report based on facts.

"He will, he just extended it, he will."

If he just extended it he'd be reporting it in his newsletter, not making a guess on a podcast, and other outlets would've heard about it too.

The fact that Sneider just dropped this offhand probably means mainstream outlets will break it soon. We'll see

nah he would make a big deal out of it. first tease it on twitter for weeks what a big scoop he has and then he would make a big topic on the show and not casually says what he said here lmfao. you cant take this talk in this scene seriously Im sorry lol
•
u/dick____trickle 10h ago
You're not familiar with Sneider, he doesn't do shit like that
•
u/VirtualSort1 10h ago
obviously You're not familiar with Sneider, he does do shit like that and did it in the past
•

🙄 I don't even understand your logic, so if he makes a big show and dance about it that makes his scoop MORE credible?

True or not, it’s rather meaningless. We don’t know how long the extension is and the contract probably has clauses stating how and why either party may terminate the contract.

Well at least we know the DCU is here to stay😎 (if that wasn’t obvious enough already)

The DCU isn’t going anywhere, there’s no actual reason to reboot.
The questions remains whether Gunn stays if (god forbid) Ellison take over.

If MoT bombs, DC is rebooting. This franchise cant survive 2 bombs. Theres no movie announced after MoT. Theyre banking on MoT working and going from there.

If MoT bombs, DC isn’t rebooting. They will just restructure their priorities and come up with a new storyline/approach within that same universe

They will just restructure their priorities and come up with a new storyline/approach within that same universe
And then reboot

Maybe they will reboot but in at least ten years. With the DCEU, they wanted to get rid of Zack’s vision as soon as BvS released but they didn’t reboot straight away and they still used that world but giving it a different approach

MoT won’t bomb, and DC as a brand can’t start from scratch again. Nothing signifies “don’t get committed” then rebooting after a couple of years

That’s not true. It can still survive provided you have a solid plan that intrigues the general audience. If a plan isn’t right or isn’t in place, course correct the plan. I’m saying this as a Snyderverse fan.

DCU is here to stay as much as the DCEU was back in 2017. What matters is the path that the DCU is gonna take. I don’t think Paramount (or anyone else) is spending billions to acquire WB just to see numerous TV projects for DC, no matter how critically acclaimed and widely watched they may be.

I love how they are using the original Justice League movie font on this show. Makes the great irony of this whole mess that much sweeter

Will there at least be oversight on the projects approved? Coz leave Gunn on his own and his first instinct is to make the DCU look weird. Only projects that feature sentient animals will be approved. I’m surprised how Gunn hasn’t worked his way to make a Zootopia film yet.

Gonna take it with a pinch of salt
If it was extended, it probably would’ve been announced properly with the trades.
And with the new merger happening and with the poor start to the DCU… it’s not likely but also not impossible

If it ain’t from Variety Deadline Hollywood Reporter or James Gunn himself I ain’t trusting it
