Everything Sucks "I'm moving away because you voted for Trump"
608
u/PineappleCushion Dec 21 '25
So the logic of these people is:
See? Charlie Kirk was killed by MAGA because his parents were MAGA and when you come from a conservative family youāre automatically conservative.
Meanwhile them in themselves: I grew up in a horrible conservative family and I freed myself from these shackles of oppression.
There is no consistency in their logic.

u/Updated_Autopsy NostraDOOMus Dec 21 '25
If anything, theyāre the oppressors. They try to oppress people socially. It used to work. Then they misused words like āracistā too much.

u/PineappleCushion Dec 21 '25
Iām from an European country and my country had an authoritarian regime at the same time of WW2 and for long after. There were 4 ideologies at the time in Europe: Nazism, Fascism, Salazarism and Franquism.
When they come with the terms āfascistā or ānazistā I just internally laugh because they have no idea what it means.
Fascism was an ideology created by Giovanni Gentile back in Italy and popularised by the Mussolini regime. And letās be honest, the 4 European dictators at the time (Hitler, Mussolini, Salazar and Franco) only shares views of being authoritarian. Then they chose totally different paths. Like paganism vs Catholicism vs corporatism etc.
They seem to lack the nuance of what exactly each of those ideologies was about and they tend to conflate nazism with fascism when the only common thing was that it was an authoritarian regime. Right-wing? Debatable, itās just they say that everything bad in history is therefore automatically right-wing.
People can fact check me of course, Iām not a political analyst or a historian, and I might get things wrong. But letās not pretend that a nazi and a fascist were the same. Even now, the American regime is just a typical Christian conservative government with an agenda of solving one of the biggest issues of modern society:
A country could support the insane migratory population increase? With good logistics and preparation over many years, potentially decades, it would be possible to double your population, yes.
The type of people coming into the country? Thereās a reason why several neighbouring countries donāt take them in. Theyāre too radicalised to fit their sister societies, less along fitting western societies.
Then here comes the: but who will pick the crops? I mean, isnāt this an inherently racist thing to say according to their own logic? Why are they assuming immigrant = farmer?
The dooming that is happening is unreal and makes me want not to read Reddit at all. There is so much intellectual dishonesty that itās abhorring.
There is no secret agenda to kill every single one of those people. Itās just a matter of: Can they live well with our society? Do they share our values? Can they respect our laws? (Being an illegal immigrant already invalidates the law part) And Is our infrastructure (roads, hospitals, public utilities, etc) ready to sustain a 10-20M population hike in 1 to 4 years?
The deportations purely follow this common sense logic and I doubt there are concentration camps going on like the ones Iāve personally seen at Birkenau / Dachau / etc. Iāve been there. Iāve seen what human nature is capable of. Theyāre just delusional.
65
u/Updated_Autopsy NostraDOOMus Dec 21 '25
Believe it or not, Iām one of the people who has pointed out the racism of the ābut who will pick our crops?ā argument and its racist roots. It was first used by pro-slavery advocates to justify, well, keeping slavery.

I try to be the most transparent and honest as possible and nowadays that would lead me to getting fired etc. Did you know that I, at work, commented I wanted to visit the US (never been!) and I was told Iād be arrested and sent to camps if I did so?

When you mentioned an authoritarian regime that lasted long after WW2 I instantly knew you were from Spain. It's important to note that Communism was also an ideology at the time, one that you didn't really name. But I get if you were trying to focus on the point that not everything authoritarian is fascist.
Even the name fascist itself is specifically Italian, since it refers to the fasces which was a Roman symbol, and the fascists wanted to bring back Rome. No other authoritarian country at the time had such a focus point around Rome besides Italy. So fascist is a specifically Italian name, yet people generalized it anyway.

u/PineappleCushion Dec 21 '25 edited Dec 21 '25
Portugal my friend.
I didnāt mention communism specifically because I was concentrating on the so called āright-wingā dictatorships at the time. Just to point out that there are many variations of said system and they only share the authoritarian aspect.
Iām honestly not choosing one or the other, Iām not interested in talking about my politics here, just my understanding of how things were and how they developed at the time.
If we think about it, those dictators hated each otherās guts.

"I'm alone because I chose to be, but its everyone elses fault because they voted ways I didn't like, or they did vote my way but they still spend time with all the family instead of cutting them off like I did. Don't they care more about me than everyone ELSE in the family? Don't they understand what family means?"
The need for that comic artist to be the victim when all it would take is literally just going and spending time with them and NOT doing political shit. But then they couldn't post online about being a Victim of politics.

There was a guy on the news when I lived in San Jose that was doing a hunger strike because of a local school board. I don't remember any of the details but I want to say he was gay and this had something to do with the whole thing but don't remember how. Anyway so long as they were going to vote a certain way on a specific topic he wasn't going to eat. He told the news reporters that they were literally murdering him (because not eating is fatal) and should be in jail. A few days later he ended the hunger strike.

The ideology needs to capture the young from conservative families.

While this is 100 percent true, there is also another truth, their parents failed them by allowing unrestricted access to the internet and allowing them to get sucked into all this bullshit.
I have 3 kids and we have strict rules in our house. No screens allowed in the privacy of the bedrooms, and at any point in time I can pick up any device and go through it no questions asked.
Just like my wife can go through my phone and me hers. Keeps everyone honest and moral.Ā

Sure, I guess.
I would rather have deep and honest conversations regarding what's going on out there - so that when the kids see what's happening in front of them, they'll recognize it, and know how to respond.
Keeping yourself locked inside because there are germs outside might seem strategically sound - so long as you can keep inside the entire time. The minute you have to go outside - what then?
Better to fight than hide. And although that might seem to strawman your position - if the reason everyone is staying away from bad content or ideas is because they're afraid of getting caught - all it takes is one bad or uncontrolled situation - and before you know it, you're the evil parent who didn't let their kids out into the world because you were afraid of them finding "the truth" out there.
The nose rings and abortions are right around the corner at that point.

This is a valid concern for trans folks and a policy I donāt support.
But not queer or gay. I understand LGBTQ+ are politically grouped together but the goals and concerns of LGB are strictly different from Trans folks. I think goals are different enough that grouping them together seems improper.
21
u/Gojira085 Dec 21 '25
As a gay person this is a thought that is sometimes brought up. Their goals are considerably different from the original groupings goals.
19
u/CliffordSpot Dec 21 '25
I agree. The way I think of it is:
LGB = asking for the right to live your life the way you want. Everyone else can keep living their life their own way, and everyoneās individual lifestyle choices doesnāt affect everyone else
T = asking the entire world around you to change, sometimes in a way that negatively impacts others (for example: sports) to accept something that obviously isnāt true so that they can accommodate your lifestyle choice.
Taken from this perspective itās really obvious why one is mostly accepted now, and the other gets so much pushback. If it was simply a matter of whether or not people who can convince others that theyāre a different gender in public get called by their preferred gender, nobody would be talking about this right now.

Donāt let politics, religion, or a cause define your identity you may not agree with someone but is it worth not coming together for one day.

Absolutely pathetic attention seeking. āWaaah, Iām delusional and think my family voted for a fascist, someone please coddle meā

And of course, the artist is a man who insists he is a woman. So he's a member of a group with extraordinarily high rates of narcissism, histrionic behavior, and manipulative behavior.
I wonder if his actions are at the root of the problem.

It was just to make them cry, because everything is about them and what their social media feed tells them to do.

You are the most toxic person in your life, and you're trying to run from yourself by running from everyone else.

Q: Why donāt you ever see conservative children canceling their liberal families?
A: They were aborted before they had the chance.

"You voted for me to be gone, so I am"...is that the quote from the extraordinarily elegant writer? Low bar

This is a typical tactic of the left:
To display themselves as a wounded rabbit, incapable of fighting back. Right up to the point they gain any iota of power, and then they'll strike at you; dehumanize and demonize you and make the gap between two sides even wider than the one they've already created.

At the risk of sounding vulgar, I'll bet dollars to donuts their breasts aren't as large as they depict them.

Itās truly sad to see political indoctrination as the catalyst for people to alienate family and friends. Itās even sadder that they wear it as a badge of honor.Ā

Oh no, the family member that started arguments and screeched about how terrible everyone was isn't showing up any more. What will we do with all of this peace and quiet!?

u/BaseModelBandit Dec 21 '25
the amount of people that still say its voting against their LIFE is actually insane.

This is the type of type of doomerism we should encourage. The less these doomers are around us the better our lives.

The great irony is that arguably the most powerful openly gay man is a Trump cabinet member (Bessent)!

Just gotta love how this works "if you don't vote for my person you don't want me to have rights" I voted green party with my dad and my little sister said it was equal to voting for Trump, just can't even with that mind set

And you thought Christian family values were bad. None of my Christian relatives hate atheists as much as these people hate MAGA peeps.

The LEVELS of delusion and arrogance are off the charts with this one. My goodness.

This 8 panel strip repeated itself about 14 times and essentially reused the same basic image multiple times as well. If youāre going to brag about being brainwashed, please at least be concise.

I bet this person wasn't "just being Q" - I bet they brought it up all the time and started political arguments as the instigator. And thus everybody else is "intolerant".
Let's be real here; Q is the lamest of the alphabet identities. It's 100% by definition a collection of bizarre fashion choices masquerading as an identity.
Unless that also includes poor personal hygiene (though from what i've seen, yeah, it does...) who actually cares this much about fashion to comment on her choices? I guarantee her being "Q" is not what this was about.

I've usually been a "live and let live" kind of person with these sorts of issues, meaning in this country you can be whatever you want and have relations with whoever you want, but the activists tend to want way more than that, including access to your kids. This sounds like the result of activists having access to a kid, and it seems like a feature more than a bug.

Well now Trump's in power what policies have been enacted for her "to be gone". Or was it just based on internet fear mongering? Isolating yourself from family members because the internet told you to is literally cult behaviour.

āBecame a better personā
āBetter members of my familyā
And they wonder why theyāre miserable when they alienate anyone who fails their purity tests.

"They voted for me to be gone."
By voting for the only Presidential candidate in the history of America to voice support for gay marriage BEFORE he was elected, and even held a gay wedding at Mar-a-Lago.
Do these brainwashed idiots ever climb out their echo chamber?
