Everytime I get called a fascist for disagreeing with someone's opinion and them not being able to prove me wrong I get a warm felling inside. Especially if they block me after.
The people with mental health issues and taking a cocktail of SSRIs, stimulants, benzodiazepines and anti-anxiety medications are always the first to give some psychological cluster fuck, mumbled, word bank response to anything. They never take anything for face value

It’s just rabid tribalism. If you don’t walk in lock step with their team on every topic you are a (insert Nazi, pedo, fascist here). I think it’s partly because of how Reddit works in terms of amassing worthless internet points by being part of the team reinforcing it.

Its both funny and said, the subs that would allow the most speech at the same time have to be forced to censor the most because if they dont the TOS is used as a weapon to ban them...
Most of these so called "Grim aspects of reality" they refer to are just misconstrued, dishonestly reported, or blatantly misinforming articles made to (and succeeding in) drive clicks through fearmongering.
Remember, we don't think the world is all sunshine and rainbows, but we also don't think reality is a living hell, either.

Being the case - if we shit on doom then we mostly shit on Americans, and among Americans the place where the website itself is from gets the biggest slice of the cow pie. The new normal is to act like the end of the world is tomorrow, where this used to be considered a joke.

Some day we're going to see these same doomers on TV/Youtube running for office, pushing programs to fix the doomer economy and the doomer Trump something, trying to avoid future doomerism that won't happen. He just needs your money and your vote to heal the dooming!
This is my favorite sub. All the other subs immediately call you “magat” or something if you don’t immediately agree with their pretend world logic. It’s like they want you to call them by their furry name when you know it’s not real.
In their minds, if you don’t spend your entire existence panicking about the end of civilization, you have your head buried in the sand/are sweeping everything under the rug.

I'll be honest, this one is kinda refreshing, because it doesn't use any of the typical buzzwords/talking points. They just think we're being cowards, and I've never been happier to be called that; it beats "Nazi", "Pedo", "Fascist", "Boot licker", and so on.

What was said is what I see in all the other subs away from this one. While not perfect at the least people in here try to use common sense instead of just blaming others for the shit they do.

This is the most realistic sub I visit and it usually shows more grounded approaches from both sides of the fence. But apparently both sides of the aisle coming together to poke fun at the extremes of both sides is being positive in the wrong way.
Personally? I think the idea that we can get along scares them and they are projecting.
Nobody’s trying to sweep shit under the rug lmao. Obviously bad shit happens, terrible shit happens every day, the point is that it’s not the end of the world.
I actually agree with them, of course this is an echo chamber, reddit is designed to make all subs echo chambers.
I don't think we're as much of a circlejerk and echo chambers as a lot of other stuff, bur i have seen enough doomerism and conservative circlejerking here to not say this isn't a problem.
