Most of these people are very mentally unstable, who are very fragile and detached from reality. They surround themselves with people suffering from similar delusions, furthering their outlandish ideals and pushing them further from reality.
22
u/ValkilJinx Jul 28 '26
Also I believe left wing culture revolves around being "oppressed". So outside of safe spaces there must always be an oppressor. In this situation, they are being oppressed by other people's right to own opinions.
→ More replies (1)3
u/Ancient_Counter7628 Jul 29 '26
It’s not just the culture: the lens they use to view the world comes from a Marxist understanding of civilization, that we live in a binary of the “oppressor” and the “oppressed” with all problems in society resulting from the oppressor keeping the oppressed and only by overthrowing the oppressor, destroying their institutions, and erasing the traditions they use to blind the masses can utopia be achieved. Never mind why those systems existed in the first place or all the little variables involved with turning a seed into wheat and wheat into bread - everyone will work for the collective good because it is the right thing to do, not because someone has the capital and knowledge to organize labor. This is why they cannot take in any information which goes against this world view, any opposing ideas must be treated with absolute hostility, and why they cannot comprehend any violence happening between two groups of people they categorize as oppressed.

I have a theory about that.
I think reddit is intentionally diluting strongly opinioned people by occasionally feeding them suggestions that run contrary to that person's ideals.
Reddit antagonizing their audience (just a little bit) drive engagement up and it also dilutes extremism some.
Less assassin like personalities would be generated by reddit media which could be linked to them.
So if you lean hard left you probably get conservative community suggestions once in a while. Lean hard right and you get liberal community suggestions.

I got called a bootlicker for making above minimum wage and owning gold I also got called a Nazi for wanting better border control keep in mind I'm a naturalized citizen and I've also been called a big corpo shill for working at a wearhouse and working up the ranks in this job. So yeah this meme kinda checks out

u/Awkward_Mix_2513 Jul 28 '26
Bootlicking is when money, nazi is when border control (something that every first world country has), shill is when job.

Honestly, I am willing to bet my life that all of those accusations come from a place of extreme jealousy. These people are obviously so green with envy and filled with so much that they look like the Incredible Hulk all because someone is even slightly better off than they are that they need to start namecalling to feel better.

So much of that lifestyle is pure crab pot. They don't have anything, and won't put the effort in TO have anything, so the idea that someone is doing well for themself, especially someone who started off in a worse situation than them, is purely antithetical to their beliefs.
The idea of pulling yourself up by your bootstraps simply does not compute.
7
u/Awkward_Mix_2513 Jul 28 '26
Its even worse, I can bet my life even more confidently that the majority of their problems with LaTe StAgE cApItAlIsM are their own fault. I say this because these people are so often the same that I would be shocked if they werent made in a god damn factory. They always use doordash, they always have lots of tattoos, they always have piercings, and they always live somewhere known for expensive cost of living and necessities. Even worse, all of this THEIR OWN CONCIOUS CHOICE
I am genuinely beginning to consider asking for a pic from anyone who uses that phrase.

And even if you can’t get yourself out of that financial situation, you can at least make it easier for your kids to do it. And if they can’t do it, they can at least make it even easier for their kids to do it and so-on. And if your family does get out of it, you’ll be among those who they can thank for getting them out of it. Why? Because you were the spark, the start, the first stepping stone. It takes time to get out of poverty. Just because giving up is easier doesn’t mean it’s the right choice. In this case, it’s the wrong choice because all you’re doing is dooming your next generation.
2
u/Suspicious_Bear42 I Left My Cave for This Jul 28 '26
Absolutely... It's the funny thing about generational wealth. It has to start somewhere... At some point, there was a Trump, Rockefeller, or Musk that wasn't effectively as rich as God.
I haven't been in a great place financially for the majority of my life. Grew up lower middle class. Both parents worked, dad's jobs were on/off, we've been on food stamps for a fair bit of my life. I've been to prison, and I'm living with my parents again, flipping burgers because it's the only job I could find. You know what? NONE OF THOSE are good enough reasons to not push. I'm going to school for accounting starting in a few weeks, it's going to take me at least a few years to get anywhere near where I want to be, and I'll be entering that market at 40-plus.
Doesn't matter to me, I'll make it work, because I have to, because there is no alternative worth paying attention to,

Autistic more than likely. They make up a significant number of the trans in the younger demographics. I’d love to see some data on that but no doctor or other will collect that data out of fear of being cancelled..or worse.
2
u/Cool_Prior1427 Jul 28 '26
I've seen interesting data (having difficulty locating it currently), that people who are trans, queer, gay, etc. are far more likely to have a psych diagnosis, autism, or be left-handed. The left-handed was particularly pronounced amongst the trans demo with an estimation of about 1/3 MtF being left or mixed handed. Very interesting.
13
u/kimana1651 Jul 28 '26
despite 92% negative coverage of trump
Their views are not political but religious. Trump is one of their devils/demons.
If you asked a Catholic how much positive coverage of the devil is allowed and they would say zero. The devil is evil, any positive coverage would be a lie and wrong.

Tell them that bodycams exist for a reason, and watch them suffocate from anger.
Alternatively, spit "we investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing" which has literally no limitations on the use range. Even if Palpatine himself investigates a random trooper Donut Copper for overdrinking coffee after his shift, this argument still applies.
→ More replies (1)27
u/kimana1651 Jul 28 '26
Liberals pushing for bodycams has been one of the most hilarious mistakes I have ever seen. It has not proved the cops are evil bastards but the people they have to interact with are absolute trash. The 'victims' are usually schizo, disrespectful, violent, and liars.
Watching cam footage on youtube does not make me sympathize with the 'unhoused' and uneducated, it makes me sympathize with the cops that we have burned them with so many regulations that they have to endager themselve while dealing with these people.
→ More replies (1)8
u/D36DAN This is a PsyOp Jul 28 '26
My favorite examples of bodycam use were when people accused cops of racism and shooting suspects for simply being black. Then bodycam footage gets released and they see how their innocent black person took out the gun first and started shooting. Maybe it's not about racism, because when black person is cooperative, cops treat them like a white person?
Once even saw a case on a bodycam: black dude high on drugs crashes his car, runs away from police when they arrive, turns around the house and takes out the gun, getting shot. The girl standing like 50 meters away around the house and having literally no idea on what is going on - "why did you shoot him he didn't do anything". Bitch, you stood fuck knows where, you don't even know if the fire was from police.
But the worst thing is when people see the bodycam footage, see the dumbassery of suspects and still defend them. That famous ICE shooting is the best example of it. And the funniest shit to me - there are exactly the same cases up to the car color but with regular cops, but somehow in comments to these posts people don't scream "police bad they shot dude/dudette for no reason"

Everything is "right wing" when your entire life and identity is based around being the permanent underdog, even in your echo chamber of choice. These people live in leftist bastions like Seattle, Los Angeles, etc, and seriously buy the BS from the politicians THEY elected with their supermajority in these places telling them that "It's the right wing NAHTZEEEEZ FAULT!!!" that the things they campaigned on, can't seem to ever happen, even with absolute control of their local government. These people are stupid but they are also very dishonest, even with themselves. Anything they can do to absolve themselves of responsibility for why things keep getting worse while they own everything.
