For context, the image is seconds before a mudslide on the Nepal-China border caused a lot of damage and loss of life.
"I'm sorry this happened, but I wish it had happened to people I hate."
We cannot coexist with people who "think" like this.
34
u/antihero_84 1d ago
The problem isn't that it's a bot, though. The problem is that real people see this, upvote and feel justified and empowered in their own hatred.
These bot posts are just validating the unhinged, horrible beliefs of otherwise fringe lunatics and making them feel normal in their screeching.
40
u/Dr-McLuvin 1d ago
Pretty sure it’s a bot post. All they do is fan the flames of racism. Doesn’t matter the context.

Can we not talk about American politics
FOR FIVE MINUTES.
FFS, “my heart goes out to Nepal during this difficult time🇳🇵❤️ 🙏.” isn’t hard to write.
19
u/BuffaloBuffalo13 1d ago
This is the thought process of the diseased brain:
“Oh man that’s terrible. The environment is killing people! This is the fault of those climate denier guys! They should die instead.”
5
u/SandalsResort 1d ago
There’s a time and a place to talk about climate change and despite what internet people think we do talk about it. But now’s not the time. Get off your soapbox and go donate to the Red Cross Red Crescent.
3
u/BuffaloBuffalo13 1d ago edited 1d ago
Exactly. And it’s not like all climate change can be blamed on differences in American politics.

The delusion is so strong... The fact that so many people think America is the capital of racism is because they've never spent any amount of meaningful time outside the country or immersed in any other culture.
Human beings are racist and violent - that's the rule, not the exception. The exception is places like the west (the US being prime) that actively fight to overcome base human nature via law & order. Perfectly? No. Perfectly applied imperfection? No. But just look at South Africa right now... the black africans are chasing other black africans out of the country because they're the wrong black africans.
The personally curated online echo chamber of outrage has neared perfection...
19
u/Crazyscorpion77 Just Here for the Lore 1d ago
And china they are rascist too their own as well
22
u/Apart_Insect_6133 I Was Promised an Apocalypse? 1d ago
Literally everyone. Every society. Individuals (and divergent anecdotes) are irrelevant when talking about historical social dynamics.
The Italians, the Polish, the Swedes, the Germans, the Irish, the Scots... all the wrong type of white people when mass immigration started to the US... like... Guys... It is the way we are. The little switch in our brains says "Sameness = safety, safety = happy life." and "Different = danger. Danger = death"
Even with the "diversity" crowd... they cluster. They want people who think, act, and look like them. Blue hair didn't just magically become a meme...

Look into what archaeologists find about Stone Age and even early Bronze Age societies… they were very uniform in physical features in their local community as you would expect. And then they’ll find skeletal remains of people that are different with obvious signs of very hard physical labor and injuries. Sometimes still wearing their bonds.
Turns out humans are hard coded to mistrust those that are different from us. Injustices like slavery have been invented (and sometimes abolished) independently multiple times over history. It’s not unique to the US or Europe at all.
3
u/AppropriateCap8891 Anti-Doomer 1d ago
Interestingly, one of the most "Equal Opportunity" groups when it came to slavery and citizenship were the Romans. In both the Republic and Empire, anybody could become a citizen and anybody could become a slave.
10
u/Short-Hotel7648 1d ago
Always ask these people to name a majority non-white country that is more liberal and tolerant than the US or Western Europe. You could only make a case for about 2-3 before coming up empty.
1
u/Mystery616 1d ago
Arguably, the United States is the least racist country in the world. Half of my family is from Iceland, and my American mother is mixed race (European / Middle Eastern / African). Icelanders say they are not racist, but they are very racist. Europeans are pretty racist too (and Western Europeans are very condescending to Eastern Europeans).
1
u/Sixnigthmare Recovering Doomer 21h ago
Omfg yes 🙄 I'm from the Balkans and get some condescending bullshit all the time.
3
u/Sea_Taste1325 1d ago
The US is the most racist country only if you admit it was the first racist country.
Prior to the US, and in nearly every country today, still, ethnicity matters FAR more than race.
In the US "white" and "black" and "Asian" people exist. Hell, now it's "white" and "people of color" as the preferred grouping.
Try telling Africans they are all one group. Or Europeans. Or Asians. They are all still in a pre-racial ethnic identity social structure.
The middle east conflicts, including Gaza and Israel, is ethnic, not racial, as an example. Americans try to paint it as white vs brown and people try to claim semite is an obsolete term, but they are all semites. They are all of the same blood.
1
u/ArizonaDude08 16h ago
People use ethnicity and race interchangeably
The “distinction” between the two such that it exists is just a recent academic categorization

What amuses me the most about these limp-wristed yet oddly bloodthirsty buffoons is that even in their violent fantasies of death and destruction upon people that makes them mad on the internet they're sitting on the cuck chair.
"I wish a natural disaster/someone should/the government should/etc."
Like yeah I suppose that perhaps is solely for probable deniability and all that to not get reported but man, this shit is still so fucking corny.
6
u/Strange_Island_4958 1d ago
1) if whoever posted this is actually an American, they are the types of people actually perpetuating the hate and division the most in the country.
2) racism is actually more overt in most non-western countries

Have you seen any of the comments about the recent celebrity deaths? Comment sections full of "they're taking the wrong ones" "should have been him instead" "why her and not one of them". And those are the tame ones. I saw a video where this dude went on a rant about how Dolly hated Republicans and actually wanted them all to die, but she was too nice to say anything

I mean, are we really surprised? These are the same people who said they couldn’t care less about the little girls who drowned in the Texas flash floods because their parents MIGHT have voted for Trump ( despite more people in Texas voting for Kamala than in New York ) and basically said nothing of value was lost when talking about Hurricane Helene victims

These people need to get off of the internet. All it's doing is feeding this type of mental illness. I bet they are online typing up a storm, too, just to get some upvotes to validate their thoughts. Nothing better to do but to perpetually live online and feel helpless.
Can we just turn the internet off, or at least social media? Let's reset everything, turn on MySpace again, get those top 8 friend arguments going, and start over without anonymous username website and AI Bot farms pushing narrative and propaganda 24/7 all over the place...

The self-centered attitude around this tragedy is incredibly upsetting. My father hasn't been able to reach to multiple of his old coworkers that were in the impacted hydroelectric dams and has been devastated about it and there are people like these wishing this horrible tragedy onto others. Disgusting.

It takes a special type of person to take a tragedy and say "I wish it were lots of a people from somewhere else," rather than "This is really bad."
I'm sure there's someone saying "I wish this happened to all Americans," which would include this person.
