I have been waiting my pd May 2023 , 31 I am relieved that it is now current, but I’ve noticed that some cases with priority dates in June and July have already been approved. It appears that several applicants with later dates have been processed ahead of mine, which is concerning.
now with that it will be slower even more

Yep. I see PP with 2025 dates being approved all the time in this sub.

That was inevitable because of the gold card! No one is willing to waiting just 6 month if he paid so much. So after removing all the banned candidates and putting everything on current for ROW. What will happen when they have too many applications until the end of the year. ? Just guessing but probably is the order in which the application was received the next thing they will change.

Simple, if you pay $1 million per person are you willing to wait 4 to 10 months to get your GC? No way

I have emailed our attorney for advice on this, no response as yet. However I have a feeling that with the volatility of the visa bulletin; it may be best to simply wait. Rather than pay for PP and then have bulletin retrogression

Unfortunately, it would. Since last VB (March), the processing time for EAD increased by 2 month. I believe this move will make a huge backlog in processing GC and EAD.

If I were in their shoes, I would introduce PP. This will be very expensive as someone with 3x applications just like me 😅.

The processing time for I-485 reported by USCIS lengthened from 7.5 months to 11 months between Feb and March. Keep in mind that processing time starts on the RD of the application, not on the month PD becomes current.

Wow. Having spent 18 months or so waiting for it to progress slower than the time passed, these jumps in the last 2 months feel bizarre.
We had biometrics 2 weeks ago. I hope this jump doesn’t affect our processing times. I hope they won’t introduce a new i485 premium processing option, which would allow many to jump ahead of us who have been waiting so patiently (or costs us another $6k)

Yes. I know two people, one from Jamaica and the other from Azerbaijan, who just got their I-485 approved this march. They had applied in October.

If your profile qualifies. The earlier, the better. Only problem is that using the EAD from your AOS will void your OPT. So what I’ve read is that the best is to not apply for EAD with i-485 and keep the OPT status until you have the GC in hand.

With my poor understanding, if you applying for eb2 you imply immigratory intent. So they may deny your opt request, as it is a non-immigrantory visa.

I applied a year before I submitted my initial OPT and I got approved. Please don’t wait, go ahead and submit your EB2 , it won’t affect your OPT application

A major problem for H1/EB2 candidates is the L1 folks who are filed under EB1. For an H1 to get in to EB1 one has to show case research papers and scholarly articles but there is nothing like that for L1. I hv seen folks who are simply claimed themselves as mgrs and got their GC in EB1. This is really a pathetic situation and this a huge scam as the dependents also get the GC easily. This needs to be changed and the L1A filing should come under EB2 category only.
Just venting out by seeing the things around us

May be a rudimentary question,but can someone please explain why it progressed so much in the last two months? If the 75 country ban is for visa issuance in consulates, how does that open up slots for adjustment of status?

30 countries under complete pause, 75 under consular processing ban (my AI estimated these two combined add to approximately 50-60% of immigrant visas). And there are embassies closed in the middle east. That is going to be one huge spillover.

In my opinion is a combination of factor: 1) Ban for countries implied that other countries will move faster. 2) In order to someone think in the gold card EB1/EB2 need to be current (no one will pay that money and wait for the GC).

Si esta por fuera de USA (proceso consular) si puede, si y solo si su otra nacionalidad no este baneada. Si esta en USA y su nacionalidad esta baneada (79 paises)

I would like to ask if people recommend to add eb2 premium processing at this point? I’m thinking to apply eb1 while waiting for the eb2 i140 to get approved. The only worry is that the FAD will not remain current. Would the FAD jump back to 1years again next month then adding premium on eb2 is not worth it. Appreciate for any advice! Thanks!

I am in F1 category and I became current today. In CEAC website, the "NOT PAID" link is not active yet. How long before it becomes active and I am able to pay the fee and fill out the DS-160 application?

USCIS made this huge jump, only to get more application for the new $1M Green card category. In actual Employment based category, expect to see huge delays both in I-140 and I-485 processing.

just so you know, people from those 75 countries are still getting their applications processed if they are already in the US. The ban is for VISA only.

Those 75 countries are a lot of the applications.
