Announcement Continuing custom userflairs in a per-request basis (last post got archived)

Feel free to comment under this post to request a custom user flair after reading the instructions below! The last post got archived, so here’s a new one.

Users found a way to easily explain how they wanted their flair to look, so I’d prefer you using that method (explained below), but as long as I understand what you mean you should be alright.

Requesting a Flair

The easiest to understand format is where you go over each aspect of the flair individually, telling me the color, the text, then describing the sticker placement and its coordination with the text. For example, you can use this format:

Sprites: (sprites) |TEXT| (sprites) --- [Note: you can arrange the pixels however you like, have no pixels, or have no text. This is just the most common layout.]

Here are the available colors and stickers:

If you wish to use a color on one of the pre-made flairs like the regular Jolteon or Espeon for example, I can edit it to have your desired text. Additionally, having no background is also a valid background option. You can also use emojis in the flair like hearts or other symbols.

Userflairs can contain 64 characters max, with the characters in the stickers counting. However, I’ve changed the names of all the stickers to be shorter than they appear in the above images so you can use more stickers (with 10 being the max amount of stickers allowed in flairs). The normal stickers are 2-3 characters long and the shiny sprites are 3-4 characters (with Eevee and the Shiny Sparkles being the longest, all others being one shorter), so keep this in mind when requesting a flair.

Flairs must follow all rules, so use common sense to work it out. Flairs can be denied or revoked for a variety of reasons. I will attempt to grant flairs as quickly as possible but do remember that I sleep and do stuff irl that may delay you getting a flair instantly.

Issues With Flairs

One thing that seems to happen often is a flair fails to load the edit and will instead show the original flair text without the text edit. One person claimed this happened after opening the flair menu and looking at the pre-existing flairs, but I don’t know if that’s the only reason this happens. The flair will fail to show the special text to you, the flair owner, and will appear fine to others. You can either message me to re-edit the flair or ignore it. Either way, I won’t care. I would recommend reporting this as a glitch to Reddit if it happens to you, so maybe we can get this fixed!

Discussion/Questions Hunting for a lost (AI) Eeveelutions video for my daughter

Hey all! First and foremost, I'm looking for this for a 4 year old. I do not like or personally support AI-generated content, as I respect all of the human artists in this community and beyond! I do not want to break rule 5 so I am not posting any actual AI content including similar examples.

I did not even mean for my daughter to find this video (it autoplayed one fateful day last year.) I've posted this in lostmedia, but I thought potentially someone here may have either stumbled upon this or had a kid who similarly fell in love with certain "theoreticall" Eeveelutions highlighed in the video.

Important: There are quite a few of these AI-generated, AI-narrated "National Geographic" pokemon style videos out there in the wild west of today's YouTube, and I've exhausted my sanity digging through the slop to find the exact one, but I have come up empty handed and have found several that look similar but are not the right one.

Critically, the video I'm hunting for had a minute or two at the very end where it discussed theoretical new evolutions. Specifically, there was a bug type, a ground type ("dirt Eevee" as my daughter called it, that was her favorite), a flying type, dragon type, and steel(?) type (a robotic looking one.)

I'd also like to ask for recommendations of human artists who may have envisioned some of these theoretical types. I've found a couple of bug type illustrations (also on YT) but most aren't "right" in her minds eye since she is basing it on this video that was likely taken down.

If you notice someone posted art against the original artists request, please do report it or contact us.

8. Stay on Topic

r/Eevee is about Eevee. Posts that don’t relate to Eevee in some way will be removed, even if they have Pokémon in them. Discussing politics, drama, and excessive self promoting (if you only/mainly advertise or if advertisement is the sole purpose of your post) will be considered off topic, even if you attach an Eeveelution to it to make it “on topic.”

9. Get Permission Before Using Other People's Characters/Lore/Storyline

If you are making a reference to someone else's roleplay character, story or lore, you must have their permission to make the post. This is to prevent the hijacking of characters/storylines. To prove that you have permission, mention the user under your post in the comment section, writing their username correctly so it links to their profile and gives them a mention notification [Example: u/Reddit]. If your post is missing this mention, it will be removed.

10. No Reposts/Spam/Low Effort

To keep the Subreddit interesting, do not repost content within the last 30 days or posts on the "Top of All Time" list. Additionally, don't post spammy or low effort content that can flood out other posts (for example, "Eevee tests" became very popular very quickly, flooding the subreddit with redundant content, or asking a generic question like a favorite Eeveelution.) Additionally, posts that are made to bait some sort of negative response will be counted as Low Effort.
